He's about 6 foot tall. I don't really see him playing DE. I think he's strictly a NT.

We lost Ryan Lee to the Saints (who put him on IR) and Toney Clemons to the Jags (who has the same # of catches for one less yard than Plaxico this season...)....

It's kind of nice to pick up a prospect from someone else...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

There has been mention of Mclendon moving to DE. He seems to have the strength and desire for it. At 6-4, it may be a better spot for him. 3-4 DE on running downs, 3-4 NT on passing downs.

You can carry Heyward, Hood, Mclendon, Keisel, Ta'amu, Fangupo (if he pans out). Mclendon can play NT with Fangupo until Ta'mu comes off suspension. That also frees up a roster spot by getting rid of Al Woods because Mclendon can play NT and DE.

Hoke said Ta'mu has been making good progress in practice all year. Hopefully he can make a big improvement.

Hoke and Ta'Amu were never teammates. Hoke retired, and then Ta'Amu was drafted. How would Hoke know about what Ta'Amu is like in practice?
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Hoke is in the media now. He is still very knowledgeable about the roster and has many friends that are still Steelers. Where do you think he gets his information from. Check out his twitter feed. It's pretty good.

I recently started following Hoke. He seems to be pretty plugged in, which makes sense given that he played with a lot of these guys.

One other thing is Seattle's success in drafting d-lineman over the last 5 years. They seem to scout them well. It gives me hope for Fangupo developing.

                  Steelers add linebacker

                  Posted 1/7/13

The Steelers continue to build their 2013 offseason roster with the signing of linebacker Kion Wilson today to a Reserve/Future contact.

Wilson, who wasn’t on an NFL roster in 2012, saw action in five games with the Carolina Panthers during the 2011 season. Wilson originally signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted rookie free agent out of South Florida on April 26, 2010. He played in three games during his rookie season in 2010, forcing one fumble on special teams.
