    Keenan Lewis!

Ranked No. 1 in the league for passes defensed.... talk about taking the next step. I know I was doggin him last season, especially for some of his bonehead penalties. He is a big part of the reason the Steelers are No. 1 in pass defense. Between him and Ike, it's tough sledding. But time to give the guy his due. He has elevated his play to possibly being the number one target for contract negotiation next season.

Several guys have really stepped on D this season. Lewis for sure.

Timmons, Clark, and Allen have had good seasons as well. McClendon and Heyward could be the next guys to 'step' up on D. They just need more reps. Worilds is on his way as well.

Just putting it out there, but Ike gets beat more often than Lewis this season..

Maybe his pro bowl prediction could come true.

Gotta say, if he keeps ballin, we may have seen the last of him.

One other potential scenario I could see, is cutting Taylor for cap reasons and trying to sign Lewis to an extension.

They should have tried to do an extension in the off-season before he blew-up. He played pretty decent last year too.

And if they cut Ike, who starts next season? Allen? Brown? Not so inspiring..

Cap situation may dictate a lot next year. You risk losing Lewis if you keep Taylor. Then your looking at Taylor/Allen/Brown.

That may work as a one year stop gap, but the Steelers have to look younger at some point and reload.

Allen/Lewis/Brown may not be as good as Taylor/Lewis/Allen, but is it really worse than Taylor/Allen/Brown?

There's going to be a lot that is not that inspiring next year with the salary cap constraints.

I see a very real scenario where the following players do not return: Polamalu, Harrison, Taylor.

Do you realise you have depressed Chadman now?

On a positive note- passed the 4000 post mark! Obviously there's too much time on Chadman's hands...

Lewis is a beast... we finally have a CB who knocks the ball down... hell, we finally have a CB who see's the ball.

If he had held onto the ball that hit him in the chest late in the Titans game, there is a chance that he could be closer to his pro-bowl aspirations, as that would likely have netted him a lot of attention.
