    Adrian Robinson

I'd get him 5 snaps a game as a nickel pass rusher. Woodley and Harrison are not getting enough pressure (though Woodley has shown some flashes lately). Just give the kid a few snaps. He is currently playing special teams. I don't think he'll be an all pro, but he might put a little heat on the QB. That'd be nice.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

Must be struggling with the "Conversion" so he'll be on the sideline.

Or perhaps he hasn't shown more than Woodley, Harrison and Worilds in practice.

Must be hard to NOT be able to get to the QB. I wonder how long it takes to teach a player to be proficient at that?

By "conversion", I'm sure you mean conversion from college to the pro level...which is often difficult for undrafted free agents, especially their rookie year...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Plus DE to OLB which seems to be a 2 years process minimum for most.

Yea, this is it, he's an all-pro sitting on the sideline, because Harrison and Woodley are so bad because they're veterans. Sometime Ovi the players that aren't playing really shouldn't be playing and it isn't Lebeau's or Tomlin's fault for not recognizing their talent.

Have I ever posted that Robinson should be playing or is a future All Pro? I actually forgot the guy was on the active roster.

I'm not sure why people are jumping on O. We already do these kinds of things to get rookies some PT. Sprinkling in Robinson will help his development. Nothing wrong with the suggestion.

I read somewhere that the only thing Adrian Robinson was proficient at right now was rushing the passer and that he was really struggling with the complexities of LeBeau's defense and with pass coverage.

so if you're just gonna use him as a pass rushing specialist, why not just let Jason Worilds do that?

I wasn't suggesting that we allow him to play 3-4 OLB in base defense. I was suggesting that we put him in as a DE (in our nickel package). This IS what he knows how to do. Sure, we likely won't expect him to drop or do any of our more exotic blitzes. But, he can pin his ears back and go after the QB. Point is, this defense needs a spark because we are not getting to the QB enough. Kid has been active the last few games and has played special teams. I was simply suggesting we give him a few shots at doing what he does best because, frankly, we need some help rushing the passer.

I just assumed the "conversion" comment meant that he was wasting away his talents because Lebeau was converting him from a college rush DE to a 3-4 OLB and he doesn't know enough about the defense to actually get on the field. If I misinterpreted "conversion", that's my bad.

Jason Worilds also played DE in college and specializes in rushing the passer, do you think Adrian Robinson would be better at that than Worilds?

That information was from the preseason. Tomlin talked about him being a one trick pony. But, that is sort of my point. He made the 53 man roster for his pass rushing ability alone. So, give him a few shots in the nickel D where he'd be playing DE and rushing the passer only.

Worilds should get some more snaps too. Anything to pressure the QB more.
