    Worilds, and Carter are...

...not the answer to replace Harrison!!

Both are VERY soft, with no motor, or pass rush abilities...

I think DL should try Adrian Robinson as a ROLB, JUST to rush the passer out of his 9-Technique...couldn't hurt to try!!

He reminds me of Deebo Jr...

What about Brandon Johnson??? Can he play a little OLB??

Listening to Tomlin in camp he made it pretty clear that Robinson couldn't do anything but rush the passer. He would be exploited in pass coverage. Now if we played the 4-3 he would be able to rotate in at DE because that is what their primary task is and they don't have to worry about dropping into coverage.

Worilds and Carter are worthless in pass rushing so far.
My answer would be put Robinson in the game when the Nose Tackle is out.

He also can't hold the edge and contain vs. the outside running game either. DE's in a 4-3 defense have to worry about this as well, and right now, Robinson isn't any good at it yet.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

But, let's just ignore that and change the defensive scheme so that we can accommodate an undrafted rookie.

Sometimes it's better to have a player that can do something good rather than player(s) that can't do anything good but everything less than average at best.

I know y'all have heard of pass rushing specialists. You can plug him in when you need a spark to purely rush the passer.
              Trolls are people too.

Robinson and the other guy are strictly backup types too, so it doesn't really matter one way or another. Carter is very disappointing to me. Even if he wasn't able to rush the passer (which I felt was his best characteristic... he's just been completely irrelevant in that capacity!), you would HOPE that he would flash as a LINEBACKER, with pursuit, strong tackling. He's almost literally been invisible these three games. At this point in fact, I'd prefer Worilds. With Worilds, I think the coaches have a better sense of what they get from him. Carter seemed more like a hit-or-miss prospect, but since he obviously isn't a "hit", he's all miss.

He (Carter) should just up and retire. Go f'n ride a bike home to Fresno, worthless scrub.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

I'm disappointed in Carter as well, in three starts so far this year he has zero sacks and zero QB pressures. I figured he would have a hard time sealing the edge and holding up against the run but I thought he could at least rush the passer...

I will again be the voice of dissent. I don't equate Carter and Worilds. I think Worilds is clearly the superior talent. Worilds has 6 career sacks and numerous pressures. Carter has zero career sacks and three career tackles. When I look at both of them, it is clear to me Worilds has the most physical ability. Carter is the starter and getting most of the playing time. I don't chart the plays but Worilds is playing less but still has made more plays this year than Carter has. The main thing hindering Worilds is the chronic wrist or other injuries and he didn't get much of a training camp and probably couldn't condition as well as he needed. If he could only overcome this and get going with legit playing time, I think he could become an answer is this defense. But that is still in the air.

This idea that some rookie, like Robinson, will come in and become the salvation is probably misguided. Although I wouldn't mind seeing the guy a little. I think I would prefer him to Carter, who has never grabbed me as much as he has some other people. I think Carter is a fringe NFL talent. But I'll still hold out some hope that he can come along a bit.

I agree about Worilds. His greatest deficiency for many is his name isn't Sean Lee. However, they play two different positions. Lee is an ILB and Worilds is an OLB. When we drafted we didn't need an ILB but we needed depth at OLB.

Worilds will be a solid replacement for Harrison. He isn't a superstar but he can get after the QB way better than Carter.

I thought the Steelers subscribed to the philosophy of drafting the BPA instead of drafting for need?
