I don't think I fully understand what Ben is talking about.
I kind of agree with Ben. In Pittsburgh it always comes down to running the ball, burning clock, keeping the game close (most weeks no matter the quality of opponent), and the defense being set up to be the star. This overall philosophy is part of the steelers 'brand'.

I really think this town is happier with 10-6 defensive games with a 120 yard rusher than if we had a team with a stronger offense & weaker defense so we gave up 21 but hung 35 on teams.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

And the results are without equal:

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Hmmm, a QB that wants to throw the ball...surprising.

Nothing more than Bens attempt at some deadpan humor that some people just don't get. Like when he makes cracks about holding onto the ball too long.

Another much ado about nothing.... Roethlisberger likes to toy with the media, and they soak up every bit.
