For now, Troy can still be that guy. In a year or two, they'll transition to Sean Spence being the freelancer. While Timmons has the athletic ability, I wouldn't say that he is the most instinctual player who tends to know what the offense is doing before everyone else like Troy. Spence, on the other hand, is lauded for his tremendous football instincts. It's off-the-charts instincts that make for an effective freelancer, not just athletic ability.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Timmons, with his virtually unlimited potential, is a sure bet to bounce back.
