Decastro at 17, with Kirkpatrick, Gilmore, Glenn and Martin the 4 picks immediately preceding the Steelers selection. I'd be fine with Hightower, but if they could get a top shelf CB or OT, I'd like to see them make the move.

If Glenn and Martin ended up being that close to us, I would hope that we would do whatever we could to move up to get one of them. From where we sit in the first round (1.24=740 points), the chart says that moving up 1 spot should cost 20 points (1.23=760), moving up 2 spots should cost 40 points (1.22=780), and moving up 3 spots should cost 60 points (1.21=800). We could make moves like that without having to give up either of our prime day 2 picks (2.56=340, 3.86=160). If all we need to do was to give up a mid-to-late round pick to guarantee ourselves a top OL prospect like Glenn or Martin, I'm all in (4.119=56, 5.159=28.8, 6.193=15.2, 7.231=2.3, the comp picks are untradeable).

Then, if I got a top o-lineman in round 1, I'd take Alshon Jeffrey is round 2.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Interesting that Kiper has two guys I really like (Shea McClellin and Derek Wolfe) going to New England IN THE FIRST ROUND...I have yet to see either of those guys come anywhere near first round consideration at this point.

you make a good point but remember that the other team also has to be willing to make that trade and a mid-round pick isn't really a lot of incentive to do so if Glenn and Martin are the players they want to pick.

That also stuck out to me. Wolfe seems to have the prototypical size that the Steelers look for in a DE, and would be a nice addition in the second or later. But I haven't seen him as a first rounder anywhere.

Moving up a few spots will be very difficult as 21 Cincy likely won't be an easy trade partner, 22 Cleveland won't want to trade either, and 23 Detroit will want Martin (or Glenn if he is there) as they need an OT. We would likely have to move up to 19 or 20.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

Yeah, Derek Wolfe is listed as a 4-5th round pick by the PFW Draft magazine. (Anyone else have this magazine? I hate how they list guys this year in terms of 3-technique, 5-technique, X-WR, Y-WR, etc. Makes it hard to actually rate players generally according to position. It's annoying.)
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

I have seen Derek Wolfe rated as a 4th-5th round pick in virtually every draft publication that I have seen, how Kiper has him rated as a 1st rounder is beyond me.

Good picks- 1 and 2, unless Doug Martin would still be there in the 2nd.....
