    Comp Picks Rewarded...

Heard the Steelers got rewarded 3-7th round picks in this years draft...
ours is not to wonder why just invert and multiply...

Nice...three extra 7th rounders for Matt Spaeth, Nick Eason and Keyaron Fox. That's 10 picks overall...1 in each of the first 6 rounds, and then 4 total 7th round picks.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Yea, I just saw it too 240, 246, 248... I wouldn't say this is anything that excites me.

Looks like those extra seventh rounders will be the 240th, 246th, and 248th picks overall.

That's 3 more players that the Steelers get to try out before any other team does. It's always a good thing to get more draft picks no matter what round they are in.

7th Round Pick > Matt Spaeth

To get anything for him was an accomplishment in itself.

Can't we just pass on those picks and keep the cap room?

Rule of 51. They likely wont matter towards the cap.

I hope they bring in 3 O linemen. You never know if one pops.

This is essentially a jump start on the UPFA process, where the Steelers have traditionally had some decent success.

Here are some 7th rd steeler picks that worked out and had long NFL careers. Not there whole career for the steelers. Also a hope so with Batch. I will take the picks. We can then trade our original 7th rd if need be which is nice. Can you trade comp picks?

                        232- Baron Batch
                        241- David Johnson
242- Brett Keisel and his Beard.
                        228- Kris Brown
                        242- Carlos Emmons

Kris Brown is a reminder that this might be a chance to take an early shot on competition for Suisham.

I have to think that they replace Suisham this year. I really hope he is not the best we can do at Kicker.
