Hmm...If Drew Brees makes his O-line look better i wonder why are NO Saints spending so much dough on an OG? Shouldn't they be spending money on D?

Ravens have lost a lot of talent. Jarrett Johnson, Cory Redding, and now Grubbs have all left.

It will be interesting to see how they handle it.

To be honest losing Grubbs is huge. Unless they can replace him with a like part, they will suffer in the run game.

Jarret Johnson is one of the best run stuffing 3-4 OLB. It may have just gotten easier to run on them with Kruger/Kindle than it was last year.
        Here comes the BOOM!

Their LG is gone, and their LT and C (McKinney and Birk) are on their last legs. McKinnie turns 33 during the first month of this, his 11th season in the league, and Birk will turn 36 this summer prior to his 15th NFL season. They have Yanda at RG and Oher at RT, but the left side of their line will be shambles sooner rather than later (not to mention that they still need long-term replacements for Lewis and Reed on defense, and all of their resources will be tied up in extensions for Flacco and Rice). And just like we need to figure out how to keep RFA Mike Wallace, they need to figure out how to keep RFA Lardarius Webb.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Steelers AFC North foes losing big free agents

            March 14th, 2012

The teams in the AFC North have taken a pretty good hit over the last two days. Each team has lost a guy who helped them get to where they were last season. The Ravens seem to be taking the biggest hit. The Bengals are hurting on the defensive line and the Browns lost their Running Back.

The Ravens lost Jarrett Johnson today. He signed a four year deal with the Chargers. I wandered why the Ravens put a second round tender offer on Dannell Elerbe. They must have known that they were about to lose Johnson. The Ravens are likely to also lose Ben Grubbs. He is making his rounds and could replace Carl Nicks in New Orleans. He is not likely to remain with the Ravens.

These are big for the Steelers. Grubbs ate us up on the defensive line and Johnson knew us inside out. He was under rated and was a big problem for our offense. The Ravens also lost Cory Redding as he followed Chuck Pagano to Indianapolis. Another under rated guy we do not have to deal with anymore.

The Bengals took a shot to their defensive line today. They lost Frostee Rucker to division rival Cleveland. They also lost defensive tackle Jeff Fanene to the New England Patriots. The Bengals also have a few other defensive linemen out in free agency right now.

The Browns while bringing in Rucker lost a big part of their backfield. Peyton Hillis signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Browns look like they may be on their way to losing safety Mike Adams as well.

The Steelers were not expected to make a big splash in free agency and they haven’t. They also did not expect to bring back many if any of their own free agents so even if one is signed away it will not be a loss like these. So by sitting still the Steelers are improving in the division.
