    Ahhh who am I kidding...
If they would have ran the ball with an ounce of success they would have locked that game up.
I was at that game and fainted when Fu ran it in.

He does live in Indy said he's "DONE with the colts because they cut Manning" and now the media is saying "Is this a mistake" like they didn't know it's been in the works for a while. Others saying "like father like son" because old man Irsay got rid of Unitas and now the son is getting rid of Manning. It's all pretty crazy. I certainly know I wasn't one of the few on this message board as it's been all but a done deal in most of our eyes. The OP post also was delivered in a "I'm surprised" manner. B.A was never going to Indy to Coach Manning.

I'm not sure how anyone could think BA was going to the Colts to coach Peyton after 4 neck surgeries, 28 mill and Luck as the obvious #1 choice.

I think some people think so little of BA they can't fathom a team wanting him to mentor the Luck.

I am not an NFL professional. No one from the league calls me for advice. Apart from the boards and FB, I publish no football info.

Still, I thing so little of BA that I can't fathom a team wanting him to mentor the Luck.

Really. He may have been good once, and I really wouldn't know when, but if so I think that he is not now. Maybe Indy will revitalize him. Maybe Indy will open my eyes to my errors. Still, I think he is remedial at best, and lame consistently. Nothing personal against the man. I hope his life is very full and amazing. I just am VERY glad he is gone from the Steelers, and think Luck will suffer for BA being there.

Re: BA to Indy is now very perplexing

First impression of BA to me if I had to give a read on him, " I bet he's a nice person and would make a good friend. "

To suggest he is sometype of genius or a go to guy on how to develope a young QB or any QB for that matter is a laugh. Manning is good because Manning has talent.
A good OC doesn't allow his quarterback to get raped each game, each season by the defenses.

A good OC that felt his o -line was doing poorly wouldn't have an injured QB wing it 40 times a game or not to allow the o-line or running game help with a fullback.

Mr. Rooney had enough of his douchebaggery and I'm thankful for that.

The great possibilities this Steeler team/teams could have had with their offensive talents during the BA era went out the window.

Someone once posted BA's coaching stats from college to the pros and I can't beleive we or anyone would have given him a job.

His record reads like a demons resume.

Re: BA to Indy is now very perplexing

I think that many of the highly criticized Steelers coaches of the past have a much better reputation leaguewide than within Steeler Nation.

I would bet that Indy considers this a coup to have a coach as accomplished as Arians......not saying that they are right, but one of the benefits and curses of being a Steelers fan is that often our worst is still better than the other guys best.

I would use the I agree con but I can't find it...

Indy scooped up BA in a hurry so they definitely felt like they got a steal.

I guess BA needs to find a cripple and make him into a QB to convince people he is a legit coach. Maybe the NFL is forcing teams to hire BA when they have a QB with talent to hide how horrible he is? It's a conspiracy.

I know, we threw a real pearl out to the swines when the Steelers let him go. Many got their underware in a bunch when they learned Art II made the call on letting BA go. I highly doubt Art II didn't bounce off his opinion about the release of Arians with Kevin Colbert prior to them dumping Arians. I'm sure Kevin felt that, Arians wasn't getting the most from the talented players that he had worked for the Steelers to maintain and for sure Art felt the same way. We/they saw first hand for many seasons that the best Arians could do was be average and ranked 21 isn't even near average.

Glad Arians is gone, long over due and now he is the Colts problem.

I think Steeler fans are going to be in for a real surprise when talking heads start gushing over BA's offense with Andrew Luck at QB.

I don't think BA is some genius or the best there is at OC but he damn sure isn't as bad as some fans make him out to be.
