You also have to take into account that it would be the "prodigal son has returned" if he signed with the Titans and returned back to where he played his college ball (albeit in Nashville instead of Knoxville, but still).
From a PR standpoint it would be a windfall for the Titans to get manning back in Tennessee. Jersey sales, etc would go through the roof.
I'm just not sure that the Titans meet the standard of play off ready even with Manning.
