And if that is the case...sign me up. I would put him above Dont'a Hightower at #24.
You might get a laugh out of this DD, but Chadman would actually take Hightower over Glenn...

One word Chadman doesn't like to hear in relation to high draft picks is 'inconsistant'- and that word gets bandied about on Glenn a fair bit. add to that- the draft is "middle heavy" for value at OG- the drop off from a 1st/2nd round OG to a 3rd/4th/5th round OG isn't as steep as in other positions. There might be better value had later on.
Yeah...you can take it to the bank, those 'inconsistent' remarks are way off. I saw every game this past year and he was dominate. Same thing at the Senior Bowl and was very impressive at the combine.

And forget guard, he's a tackle all the way.[/quote:uunwdcro]

First, I'm with you. I'd love to get Glenn at 24. He can start at guard or tackle as a rookie. That said, I saw several of his games too. I would not say he was dominant against Boise State. Some of the issues were miscommunications, but he was also beaten more than he should have been. Other than that game, I thought he had a fantastic season.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

Yeah Blood we've discussed this Boise game a million times. It was his very first game at LT. Look at what he did from that point on. Since he has only played one season at LT could you imagine where he may be after a few years at that position?

I see greatness...if someone will give him a chance there.

If a guy who was rated highly because he is good at football drops because another guy who is not as good at football rises because he runs fast, I would enjoy picking the former player.

If was making a draft board, I would rate college play much higher than combine performance (excluding interviews). I would then smile when another team picks the players that look "great in T-shirts & shorts" (or should I say Under Armour with build in accelerometers).

if we somehow come away with glenn and ta'amu with our 1st two picks, I would be ecstatic.

maybe not realistic, but nice to think about.

That's about 700 lbs. of Grade A USDA Prime Beef right there.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Put me down as not thinking they will be drafting an OL in round 1. More need elsewhere- plus- Chadman is right. They can get a OG in round 2 or 3 considering the depth there. Poe> Hightower> Glenn

glenn seems to offer everything colbert/tomlin look for in a 1st rounder.

big time program, big time production, positional flexibility.

heck, grab another OG in round 3.

If Cordy Glen is there, it's a done deal.

I read the name Adams. He is a hot button for me. Mammoth LT, very athletic and has no mean streak and is lazy. I wouldn't draft him in the 3rd.

Cordy Glenn, Alameda Ta'Amu, Brandon Brooks...that would be a big, ugly first couple days of the draft!
