I am not so sure I agree with this. Stephen Hill had like very little production while at Georgia Tech and had a lot of dropped passes this past season. As much as I like Josh Robinson, who I met a few weeks back, I see him more of a mid to late second round pick.

But having said all of this, this is good news for the Steelers in that there is a possibility that someone who the Steelers covet may drop to them at #24.

Pat Kirwan, in perhaps the worst mock draft I've seen, had Stephen Hill going to the Steelers at 31 with a pick from the Pats* for signing Wallace (he had the Steelers using their first selection on Fletcher Cox).

I could see somebody taking a shot on Hill in round one, but certainly hope it isn't the Steelers. It's a shame that the Raiders traded all their picks; this is the type of move they would make.

One position that Mayock can scout the crap out of is Defensive Back. He has a ton of league ties and gets fed information.

He likes what he sees on tape with Josh Robinson and likes the measurables. A 200lb corner that runs 4.3 and has good tape? That is a first round corner. If Mayock is calling it at that position it has a good chance to happen.

Who thought that Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie would be a first round pick out of Tennessee State before the Senior Bowl and combine?

I'm not saying he should be a 1st round pick, I am saying that Mayock is right that he will be a first round pick.

He may be the Steelers first round pick. The dude can tackle, is young, and can play. Not saying I would love this, but don't discount it.

Ruthless, I'm with you on Robinson. I'd be fine with the Steelers taking a shot on a player like that in the second, but I'd prefer a safer pick in the first. The Steelers model for success is based on not missing with their first round picks. They've had a few home runs in Ben and Troy (Ben was a bit risky -- Troy, not so much), but their steady run of success is largely attributate to taking safer players as opposed to boom/bust types.

Maybe it was the offense and the guy leading it. Still have some questions about why it was so bad, but 28 catches on 33 targets Isn't butterfingers. It's about 85% catch rate. Only HR coaches can answer why they didn't utilize the weapon he seems to be by his measurables. I would say if others are seeing the same thing he may get picked before us.

After reading article not sure Steelers are to worried anyway, not listed in the teams present.

Speaking of Urbik he is a restricted free agent this year. Maybe we should make him an offer? I'm only half kidding on this. I think the coaches missed the boat on him.
