You guys are really really good at giving a eugoogly
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

      Re: Farrior Released

This thread reminds me of why I took a long time off.

Save the middle school stupid stuff for other boards.

That being said, this last cut SUCKS!!!

I think that Farrior's loss will be harder to replace than Ward's.

I guess I saw his last game live, too.

        Re: Farrior Released

I'll never forget seeing Farrior in that first Super Bowl documentary and that
catchy phrase on the sidelines he was heard saying...

The following year in training camp, I was on the field for Women's camp and
yelled out "LINEBACKERS GONE WILD!!" at the defense about 20 yards away.

Farrrior turned around and gave the thumbs up!

He had a great attitude at autographs sessions and was a really charismatic
        player. I'll definitely miss him!

I didn't do a happy dance when Kemo was released.

I certainly won't miss him but it doesn't bring me joy either...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

I'm sorry but the Kemo cut brings me some joy... dude was getting Ben killed anytime there was a stunt and his 15 yard late hits were killing us.

I think the other 3 hurt because the chances of them playing again is slim to none... and no one wants to see Hines getting benched/smashed in a different uni.

Sorry you feel this way Djfan. I am glad you are back. You are a solid poster but what you may think is stupid some may not. But I dont think you should be calling it middle school and suggest that some post on other boards just because you dont agree with it. This is just a football discussion board. It isnt a from of art, anything sophisticated, of higher learning, or anything to be taken all that serious. Chill and have some fun. And give your opinion any way you want. It's yours and it should be different from others. And vice versa.

Oh..I I disagree about Farrior. He really hurt the Steelers last year. It isnt going to be all that hard to replace him. He was once one of the best and I too will miss him but it is time to turn the page on him.

                Peace.

Some of you guys are just WAY too sensitive. I guess it could be the way you perceive every DD post as being bad, but I didn't take his post as being insensitive at all. He wasn't celebrating the demise of these great players, but merely looking forward to a bright future for the Steelers.

Smith, Farrior, Ward all needed to go, I would have hoped via retirement, but obviously they weren't interested in that route, so the Steelers did what they had to do and I applaude them for it. I'd let Hampton go as well.

This is the ugly, business side of football. He will be definately be missed more than Ward, but would almost be 38 years old when the season starts. You had to know it was coming.

Thanks for a great job well done.

Not many remember he started his career a Jet.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

It has nothing to do with being sensitive. It has nothing to do with perceiving another poster as "evil". I've never told another member that they should not post, nor have I told another member that they are not entitled to their opinion.

But, posting one's opinion on a message board has an inherent danger: someone may disagree with you. While everyone is entitled to have an opinion and post it, no one should be immune to disagreement, questioning, etc.

I disagree with the notion that someone should rejoice at another's misfortune. Especially people who not only have done nothing wrong, but who have brought a lot of good memories and two recent championships to Steelers fans. In my opinion, there is something very sick about that.

The reality is that the organization made several necessary yet unpleasant business decisions. If there was no such thing as a salary cap, these guys would be Steelers forever. Why is anyone happy about that?

                                Please, feel free to disagree...
