    FA Guards

was just looking at the list of FA guards and this name caught my eyes

Kraig Urbik (RFA), G/C, Bills. Age: 26.
Kraig Urbik missed some time with a sprained MCL, but didn't permit a single sack in 2011. He played effectively at center once Eric Wood went down.

not saying we should get him, but he would come cheap and is still young.

We actually drafted him a few years back and IMHO pulled the plug way to early. I doubt he would want to come back to the team that cut him.

Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

For the right money, he would...That said, I don't think the Steelers will be the team to offer him that kind of money. And he's a RFA, which makes it fairly unlikely he will leave the Bills.

tomlin didn't "choose" foster over urbik.

foster outplayed him from day 1.

            Re: FA Guards

From the list of FA OG's, Chadman would like a guy like Tony Wragge from the Rams, Russ Hochstein from the Broncos, Kirk Chambers from the Falcons or Adam Goldberg from the Rams.

All these guys will be looking for starting opportunities that they are not guarenteed at their current teams, and all will at the very least, compete with Legursky & Foster- and all won't likely break the bank budget.

Get 1 of those, draft a high round OG- the interior should be fine.
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

            Light up the darkness.

My statement is factual. Your statement is debatable. Head coaches decide who is on the roster and who seeks work elsewhere.

so you believe tomlin chose a less talented player?

tomlin saw them everyday in camp. If urbik was better he would still be here.

                he isn't.

                    he isn't.
According to Dresden, he chooses less talented players in the draft every year on purpose (he even included some psychobabble about Tomlin not being talented enough to play the pros himself, so he prefers other similarly marginal talents that he can mold in his own image or something like that).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
