Who will be the breakout players for 2012?

My votes who become difference makers next year:

    1. Wes Saunders
    2. Curtis Brown/Cortez Allen
    3. Stevenson Sylvester

All will be a much bigger part of our success.

Cameron Heyward-6 sacks and 40 tackles

Corbin Bryant-beats out Al Woods and plays well in the rotation and subbing or injured dudes

Stevenson Sylvestor-beats out a rookie for Farrior's job.

    Curtis Brown-Nickelback. 3 picks.

Trevis Turner-Makes team out of camp and forced into starting rotation due to injuries mid-year. Turns out to be one of the teams better run blockers.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

Issac Redman - new, hard-running feature back.

Emmanual Sanders - finally healthy and catches 95 for 1100

I guess I am in the minority wrt Timmons. Last year he looked very good. I think overall our LB play was subpar for Steeler standards this year.

I think that has more to do with the ineffectiveness of our D-Line.

I doubt we were seeing as much double team on our D-Linemen thus making the LB Corp overall less effeective.

I am cautiously hopeful the young guys we have drafted recently on the Line will provide more of an impact than what has become an extremely weak area IMO.

Redman is primed. If he doesn't, it's his own fault and thirty years from now when he's sitting in his rocking chair, he will have no one to blame but himself. Mendenhall won't be ready by the opener. If Redman comes to camp in GREAT shape, and shows improvements in receiving, blocking... this could be a Wally Pipp sorta situation for him.

The stars have aligned for the kid. I hope he takes advantege.
