Re: Two Things We Knew All Along

Mendy scored in two situations last week just like last night. Mendy isn't the problem. The OL had their best blocking game of the season last week and last night they sucked. Mendy was getting hit by two or three guys who weren't touched by our blockers. Despite the legend that Redman has become to some, I doubt he scores either.

I do fault Arians for not spreading them out and trying to get the ball to Miller or Saunders.
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"

      I disagree...

"Legend" is a hyperbolic label on your part in an attempt to somehow discredit an opinion different from yours...

Redman isn't a legend...but, he is someone who has shown the ability to gain two feet when two feet is needed...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Follow FB to hole...It is first read of LB. Unfortunately, BA didn't figure it out after 3 tries and Mendy didn't see it either. Remember Bettis in short yardage & goaline? Not following the FB and kicking the hole? Redman has shown a little of that in him. I wish they would give him the opportunity.
        Agreed 100%.

Remember the days when running backs use to get airborne (ala Marcus Allen)? What happened to that?
Steelers 2015 Draft???....Go Freak! As in....

LMFAO Flashback! What game was that where Troy was on the sidline telling the coach, "Give it to me coach, I will go over the top!" or something like that!

Honestly, we need to start a Gilbert thread. What he has done at right tackle has been very impressive this season. He has been very solid as a rookie, and when we are running well, it is generally behind him. His pass pro has impressed me. I thought he would struggle a lot more than he has. Now, I don't know if he will ever be an all-pro, but if he improves on what he has done so far, he will be a valuable contributor on that line. It is nice that we have 2 of our 5 linemen set for the next 3 seasons. If we can resign starks and add one good rookie guard, this line can be good. Imagine that, a good o-line.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

legend? Being a good short yardage back makes one a legend now?

Let me guess... you didn't think Redman would make it as a Steeler?

Dont think Redman scores on any of those
If the line cant get inspired by Ben coming back in, then they are helpless
Superbowl teams dont get stopped on 4 staright runs from the 2.
Cant run the ball, what else is new
But to be fair, Ben's anke completely changed the equation and made the play-calling more predictable. Still, though, a mix of Mendy to the outside and Redman up the middle was much better than four Mendy's up the middle. Good grief, just typing that made me laugh.
