CHFF used to be my favorite football site. Then they had to turn into douchebags and start charging people for access to their stats.

Good article. Heavy on facts but light on theory. Still doesn't get into exactly why it happens so much and what the solution might be.

If such a thing were able to be determined, Belichick and LeBeau probably would have figured it out and fixed it...

Football is a game of emotion...emotion is an x-factor that can't be gameplanned for or against...

Emotion is why the Ravens beat the Steelers twice and Houston while losing the next week to below .500 opponents...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

And why the Bengals will beat the rats. Or that could just be because the rats suck.

Ryan Clark said after the Baltimore game that he scheme changed more on the last drive, where they were trying to keep things in front of them. Ostensibly, until the last couple plays.

We too often go into prevent offense and prevent defense with a lead. The OL isn't good enough to grind out wins in the 4th anymore. And most QBs will take the short stuff to move down the field.

That was a horrible way of keeping the Ravens in front of us. We should have put Clark and Troy deep and forcerd them in the middle of the field. They didn't even use their last timeout.
