Who is the best Steeler to never win a Super Bowl?
In response to his pleas, an officer said: "You think we've never arrested somebody that's made national media? ... We deal with the Bengals all the time."

Re: Who is the best Steeler to never win a Super Bowl?
If we are talking about the best Steeler to never win a Super Bowl with the Steelers, I'd probably go with Rod Woodson (of course, he has a ring elsewhere, so not sure if that qualifies).
Dirt's the obvious name. Several other guys from the 90's deserve some consideration, such as Carnell Lake and Greg Lloyd. You've got some pre-70's old timer guys like Ernie Stautner, Bullet Bill Dudley, John Henry Johnson, and Elbie Nickel who merit some consideration as well.
I'll go with Stautner. Nasty.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus. -

Man of Steel. What is up with the vid? When I started watching it, I figured your vote was Greg Llyod. Then the video shows him getting trucked and falling down. I don't get it.Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.Comment

Re: Who is the best Steeler to never win a Super Bowl?
Wanted to say Louis Lipps but he cant compare to Woodson.
As far as the Lloyd (my favorite player of all time) video, the LB's were trying to take on that huge line instead of filling the gaps early in that game. Larry Allen or Nate Newton is a little different compared to Novacek or Moose.Comment

Re: Who is the best Steeler to never win a Super Bowl?
I can't speak for pre-70's Steelers, but the answer must come from the 90's teams.
I like Dermontti Dawson too, but HE wasn't the heart and soul of those 90's Steelers teams. Neither was Woodson for that matter. It was 95. He was the man, the straw that stirred the drink.I wasn't hired for my disposition.Comment
