1. You see, I love making fun of Ray Lewis. An if makin fun of Ray Lewis is wrong, den I don’t wanna be right!

2. Had the Steelers won the game, the Ravens whiners would have had plenty of ammo what with the poor officiating and Ray Rice’s “almost TD” in the first quarter.
3. Alas, the Steelers lost … giving us whiners plenty of ammo what with the poor officiating and … the poor … officiating …

Did I mention that the refs suck?
4. The Ravens looked depressingly up to the task of handling the Steelers pass rush. Last year we were often caught talking about how much of a difference Troy Polamalu makes to this team. This year, we see how much LaMarr Woodley means to them.
5. In any other year, Cundiff misses that field goal and that would have been it for the Ravens. They would have collapsed.

6. I mean, at the end of first quarter it had been all Ravens but the Steelers were only down 0-3. In past years the Ravens just cratered under the pressure. Speaking of which ...
7. You know what would have been awesome? … pressure on Joe Flacco! That would have been great!

But … I hate it when the straw is missing!
8. Ok guys, McRibs, Zombies and Bacon … enough already. If you’re going to continue to endlessly rehash the same tired material I might as well just quit and go home.
9. Was it just me or did Al Michaels REALLY wants the Ravens to “get over the hump” against the Steelers.

And keep in mind ... this was at the Saturday Night Pep rally.
10. Ryan Clark gets a Personal Foul and Ray Lewis doesn’t huh?
11. Considering how poorly the Steelers played, I was somewhat happy with the 9-6 score at the half.

12. By now you’ve all seen the stat about this Steelers team setting an NFL record for fewest turnovers received in an 8 game stretch. The Steelers don’t get turnovers because they are not dictating anything; they are not imposing anything. They are reacting.
13. The Ravens fans are pretty excited about this win, as they should be. I remember how psyched I was when the Steelers finally beat an aging Buffalo Bills team in the 1995 Divisional round of the playoffs - sheer awesomeness. I cling to the hope that the Steelers can play this Ravens team one more time this year, in their own house, and rip their hearts out.
14. And besides … it could be worse than being swept by the Ravens. They could be getting swept by … well, everyone!

15. The Steelers were beat by Joe Flacco.
16. I took comfort in the 7 turnovers of the first game. I figured if you took away the 7 turnovers that would make it a different game. And it is perfectly reasonable to take away 7 turnovers because rarely does a team turn the ball over that many times. So this game had fewer turnovers and the game did unfold differently but the end result was even more disturbing than that first game.
17. The Steelers could not stop Joe … Flacco? I think I am going to weep. Weep bitter tears of bitterness!

Ah, that’s better …
18. I was listening to one of the sports talks shows and the announcer asked the question that I am sure many of us are asking: why does Joe Flacco SUCK in every other game except when he plays the Steelers all of a sudden?
19. If the leaves have not vacated the trees and you start seeing threads with the title “This is How We Make the Playoffs” … that’s when you know your team is done.
20. Perspective: Hey, at least we have the new basketball season to take or minds off football during the week, right!
