The strength of our defense has always been our linebackers.

And yesterday, by the end of the game, we had none of our linebackers playing their usual roles. Timmons was our only starting LB still standing at the end, and he is still playing woefully out of position at OLB (I think we can all agree now that he is a much, much better ILB than OLB).

Harrison was inactive. Farrior was inactive. Worilds was inactive. Woodley got hurt during the game.

Timmons filled in for Harrison. Sylvester filled in for Farrior. Foote filled in for Timmons. Carter filled in for Woodley (actually, when Woodley got hurt, Timmons moved over to Woodley's spot, and Carter went to Harrison's spot, but you get the idea).

A LeBeau defense shut down Tom Terrific with a completely patchwork LB corps. Kudos.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I was surprised how well Carter came in and played. He was as pleasantly surprising as Cortez Allen who might be an injury away from breaking into the starting lineup next season.

that's because our back up LB's are faster and younger... not as savvy as the vets but much faster on the field.
