That's strange. I thought he was one of their better corners. We should sign him and pick his brain just for this weekend.

Maybe that was the mission, cut him, Steelers sign him, but Bodden gives us all the wrong info. Belicheat is slimy enough.

They had to have known they were going to release him, now that the Steelers game planned with him in, they'll probably activate a Dlineman that's been on the PUP list.

Patriots activate Kevin Faulk, place Dowling on injured reserve

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on October 29, 2011

One of the signature players of the Bill Belichick era will be back in a Patriots uniform on Sunday.

New England activated running back Kevin Faulk and defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick off the PUP list on Saturday in advance of their game in Pittsburgh.

In a surprise move, the team placed rookie cornerback Ras-I Dowling on injured reserve with a hip injury. The No. 33 overall pick of the 2011 draft, Dowling started the first two games of the season but hasn’t been since.

This makes the Patriots’ release of Leigh Bodden this week even more surprising. The team knew Dowling was this hurt, but must have been very frustrated with Bodden.

So who is starting in NE at CB now?? McCourty and Arrington?? Who is backing them up?? I would expect to see BB and the WR's have huge days tomorrow. The Pats better hope they can get to BB and bring him down or they could be in for a long day in the secondary. I'm not really over impressed with their front 7 either. They actually do have a pretty terrible D, it's not just that they are up by a ton of points every week and are playing back. This one should be fun tomorrow!!
