Isn't rolling Ben out of the pocket reasonable with this O..

    ,,, with this O line?

Yes, but reasonable apparently isn't part of the plan.

Designed roll-outs and no-huddle.... two things that Roethlisberger THRIVES on and both can help soften the blow of a terrible O-Line.

I can't FATHOM why we aren't seeing either of them behind this miserable excuse for a line.

This has got to be the worst line in the Roethlisberger era. Just getting the hand-off clean isn't a given behind these guys.

Yes. It is reasonable. It is also harder to do with quick, rushing 4-3 ends who set a wide edge.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

Re: Isn't rolling Ben out of the pocket reasonable with this

I wondered last night why the Steelers never tried to roll Ben out of the pocket by design. Later in the game, it seemed that the Colts ends were lining up very wide on a lot of the passing plays, and perhaps that had something to do with it, but especially early on, a designed roll-out would have seemed to make sense.

Perhaps, like a fullback, there will never be a designed roll-out in Arians offense.

And yet people wonder why some of us question Bruce A all the time. If it ain't working, try something new!!! Particularly if it plays to the skill set of your QB!!!!!@!!

But if the rest of the NFL is smart, we'll be seeing a lot of that this season. Crash the outside, cut off Ben's running room. This OL won't hold a pocket to save their life.
