...the Pittsburgh Pirates were playing above .500 ball at the All-Star break?
Now they are 70-87 and 22.0 games behind Milwaukee for the division lead. Well at least they are in 4/6 place this year. Up from their perennial last place position.
The only reason i mention this is because this year is the first in many many seasons baseball has even registered on my sports radar. I cant even tell you who won the World Series last year. The prospect of the Pirates actually competing almost tempted me into paying attention but that feeling is long gone.
