Re: Monday Night Football Exec. - 2011

There's 153 points in play after week 17. Playoff points can make this anyone's game after Clams blows us out.

I'm pretty sure I'm not making a significant playoff point run, but I wouldn't be so sure someone else might rack up some post game points.

I agree with what you say......

HOWEVER....I should have a 75 - 145 point lead over the closest 7 teams....so playoff points not help those not in the top 7 going into the games.....not to mention my playoff points that I get means only Chadman, You and Ghost have a legit chance (however slim), unless there is a 100 point game in there for someone to get.......LIKE THE PATRIOTS game that NOONE picked!

Still not 100 percent positive that I am going to win my second out of third year playing....but the champagne is on ice, just in case!

        Final Scores

        NeClams - 719

        MeetJoeGreene - 666
        Flippy - 664
        NottinghamForest UK - 636
        Chadman - 630
        Chavezz - 628
        Lonbull - 622
        Fordfixer - 618
        Pfelix73 - 617
        AngryAsian - 596
        Ghost - 585
        Ruthlessburgher - 580
        NBC - 553
        Starlifter - 550
        Steelgal -542
        IronShiek - 523
        WVSteeler - 507
        Papillion - 498
        Falconfan - 497
        Jooser - 481
        Strlz D - 458
        ESPN - 443
        Dsmith - 428

        Fast Facts:

        Your 2011-2012 Champrion - NECLAMS

Week 17 high scores - 90 points - by Two Time Champion Neclams, Falconfan, Lonbull, NottingForestUK, NBC, MeetJoeGreene, Pfelix 73, and WVSteeler,

        Highest Playoff Points:

        NottingForestUK = 96 Points
        Steelgal = 87 Points

For almost two months I had prepared to crown the first "Two-Time" Champion.....but instead of Ghost finishing with his usual killer instincts he stalled and then crashed harder than any other MNF Exec. I can remember. With a 100 point lead going into Week 10 I believe many of us were ready to see the First Ever MNF Exec. Champion return to glory.

Instead Neclams, who in Week 8 was living in the cellar only 5 points up from being apart of a 3 way tie for 2nd to last, drove the final 9 weeks to become our first two time champion. Finishing with a flourish on a Week 17 Bonus. Congratulations NeClams.

One of the more enjoyable stories was Chadman's Rise and Fall, Rise and Fall again....after Four Weeks (and mocking MJG) Chadman was in last place. Within two weeks he was in second place....by Week 8 he had dropped back to the bottom 8.

He remained still in the bottom 8 by Week 11....and now had insulted a few fellow MNF Exec. AND the game itself.

Thank you all for making this an absolute BLAST! I really enjoy it (even if I suck at it ) - As always special thanks to Ghost for making the scoring so much better.

Hopefully next year we can do this again!

        Until then......it's Playoff time guys!!!

Is this in direct reference to my freaky final score?

Re: Monday Night Football Exec. - Final Scores!

I'm just happy I scored better than the real-life network execs (and surprised I ended up only 5 points behind everyone's assumed champ in Ghost).

Chadman is not able to call MJG the devil for scoring 666 points, because from his perspective down under, that looks like 999 points. You can still call him your little Tasmanian devil, though.

            Ain't he cute?

            No, he aint!

Anyway, Lonbull, now that MNFE is in the books (thanks again for all the effort, by the way...both you and Ghost)...whatever happened to that other game where we were building up teams (most of us used the Lions template you provided). Should there be some kind of scoring for that now that we have season stats totals for those players? Just wondering where you planned to go with that in the future (if we would be drafting players in this April's draft to add to our fake teams and the like).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

              Neclams...

and, grudgingly... MJG... now we are going to hear about this for the rest of the season, the off season, and then most of next season until this wrong gets righted....

Oh, Ghost & LB...always good work.
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

Re: Monday Night Football Exec. - Final Scores!

Congrats to the Clam!!!!! It's clear he's just too good for the rest of us and I've seen this day coming long ago.

What really bums me is not finishing second. MJG slipped in there. Nice job buddy. It's kinda like you won if we don't recognize other team's fans

                What's the saying, if you're not 2nd, you're last?

Thanks to LB and Ghost for making this fun again.

And too everyone else. Thanks for sucking as bad as me at this game. Misery loves company.....

Damn.... I spent so much time in the Goose Egg Lounge at the end I had my own bar stool with an engraved mug.

                  "How's it going Ghost?"
                  "Poor."
                  "I'm sorry to hear that."

A little bit.....but I don't want you to think I'm calling you "the bad guy" in this rivalry.

And as I've written before - I do love the smack talk.
