Re: Monday Night Football Exec. - 2011

Merry Christmas to all......sorry I haven't been on that much this year! Just started a new business and it takes a lot of my time.

I will keep my comments to a minimum as I don't want to be "that guy" that only talks when he is winning.....like 2 seasons ago when I was in the top 3 all season long!

Thank you Mark Sanchez for being so aweful and hopefully giving me those bonus 110 points next week.

    GOOD LUCK ALL!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next year we should introduce the beauty of google docs and spreadsheet scoring.

I can probably do a google doc spreadsheet that could automatically score the vast majority of the games.

If players are willing to do their own input of initial game choices -- we could get a gmail account for PlanetSteelersMNFE and share it amongst the players until the season starts. Then it would be locked down to only a few.

Each week, you could enter the score of the games per each team .. it would automatically compute the points based off of the scores (e.g. <3 points) and could compute the "bonus" points after week 5 for records (I think).

The rest of the scores could be computed by answering a series of Yes/No questions on the spreadsheet (e.g. was it an overtime game, was there a game winning FG in the last minute).

Anyway.. think about it because if you ever ran into problems.. someone else trustworthy (e.g. Ghost... NOT CHADMAN).. could go and update.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Let Chadman guess- MJG is keen to do the scoring next year? Hmm...why oh why, Chadman wonders?

Well, I am figuring the last thing we want is Australian Rules MNFE..introducing rushed behind and on the full bonus points.

I think that we should test Chadman for "Mind Enhancing Drugs".

It should raise a HUGE red flag when a perpetually average player has such a drastic improvement. I think he is shooting up with something.

Chadman has had to look at the list 3 or 4 times now...where IS MJG? Wasn't he like, 2nd not that long ago?

Maybe we should investigate some Indian bookies & see if any large bets were taken for MJG to come last in this thing?

                    OH BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I just remembered the points were reduced for the 2 teams needing a win.....not sure I can pull this off now only getting 70 points vice the 110.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOO......go back to the old scoring!

No worries, Lonbull...I think the time differential between the U.S. and Australia is about a week anyway.

Like I've been saying for weeks, it looks like this game belongs to the Clam. Unless someone did a superb job of picking playoff teams.

I think I screwed the pooch this year believing the Philly hype.

MUCH LOVE TO FLIPPY.....Im glad someone had confidence in me at the end....LOL.

Craziness can happen in week 17 as it has in the past. I would feel a LOT more confident if it were 110 points vice 70 like it was in the past.

Funny thing is.....I believed in the Philly HYPE as well and picked this game assuming there would be 2 teams from the NFC East going to the playoffs and figuring Philly would have won the division by now.....so in essence, I got a little LUCKY!!!!!!! with this pick.

NOW.....I was reviewing the rules and I SWEAR I SEEN that the updated standings (along with commentary) is supposed to be posted on Tuesday.......Im just saying!!!!!!

Before I close out - I would like to thank everyone for playing MNF Exec. again this season, I hope you enjoyed it - I always get a kick out of watching this game wield it's highs and lows.

As always I personally want to thank Ghost who does an awesome job (better then me most weeks) of counting up the scores. When you're a passionate Steelers fan it's not easy to keep track of the "other" games. Thank you Ghost - you make this game much smoother!

Looking ahead....Well folks - Neclams (along with Falconfan, Lonbull, and NottingForestUK) - has locked up 85 bonus points for the final week of the season, which looks to give him his second trip to the Hall of Champions.

Gratned there's still football to be played this Sunday and I believe a few Execs still have an opportunity (Angry Asian with the final Hines Ward bonus, and a crazy insane game might pose a late rally threat?!?)......but as I statted Neclams looks like he has it well in grasp.

We'll see how the season concludes this Sunday - your leader is in RED
