Steelers host Marcus Cannon & Keith Williams

Steelers talk to 2 college offensive linemen
    Tuesday, April 19, 2011
    By Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
The Steelers visited with two offensive linemen today at their South Side facility as they continue to prepare for the NFL Draft.

Tackle Marcus Cannon of TCU and guard Keith Williams of Nebraska met with Coach Mike Tomlin and offensive line coach Sean Kugler, among others.

Cannon, a projected second-round pick, is one of the biggest tackles in the draft at 6-foot-5, 358 pounds. He played left tackle at TCU but could be switched to right tackle in the NFL. Despite his size, he is considered very athletic

Williams, 6-foot-3, 318 pounds, started 13 games at left guard for the Cornhuskers in 2010. He is considered a mid-round pick.

    Williams stinks. 6th round prospect.

ditto, I would also love to get him.

        Starks-Kemo-Pouncy-Cannon-Sherrod (?)

How sexy does that line look?

Now if we can get a facelift for the left side and we have a perfect 10.

Yes, I agree. I'm glad we had him in. Maybe we were double checking his medical situation.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

He should be a real target at 31 or a trade back to picks 33 to 40 in the 2nd rd. He is going to be a great RT in this league and would be a fantastic guard. He won't last until the end of the 2nd rd.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

A Big Yes to Marcus Cannon, an eventual starter at OG or OT.

A Huge No to Keith Williams, he wouldn't even make our team.
