Official PlanetSteelers 2011 Mock Draft Commentary Thread
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Tags: None -

Great first pick!
Can someone throw up a pic of Dareus in the other thread? I'm embarrassed to say that I fail miserably when I try.
Thanks.Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same. -

Re: Official PlanetSteelers 2011 Mock Draft Commentary Threa
During the lockout, the incoming rookie players should avoid going to Radio City Music Hall to shake the commissioner's hand and don their new team's jersey and ballcap. Instead, they should make up these T-shirts for all of the top prospects (a couple of sizes too small), and have a different Rockette come on stage when their guy is picked. Wouldn't this actually boost ratings for the draft on NFL Network?Originally posted by hawaiiansteelwhat's not to love?

That is funny. But, I seriously hope that NFL fans make a big stink at the draft. Lots of booing of Goodell and general surliness might help grease the wheels a bit.Originally posted by RuthlessBurgherDuring the lockout, the incoming rookie players should avoid going to Radio City Music Hall to shake the commissioner's hand and don their new team's jersey and ballcap. Good Evening all.
Just wanted to apologise- Chadman would normally be all over something like this but time has been...well, it's busy here, let's just say.
So far so good as far as the picks go- all looks very possible. One small critisism- Jacksonville's pick was far to 'normal' & certainly not 'head shakingly bad' enough.
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?
Light up the darkness.Comment

I made up for that by taking Tebow 10th last year, and the the Jags took Alualu at that same spot in the real draft. We got in out of our systems....or at least I did.Comment

Hey Ruthless,
Drock (SF) and I had a trade worked out for the STeelers pick. He gave me the ok a few picks ago thinking that the player he'd want would be there. I'm not sure if it is Locker or not. He said he'd send you his pick. Did he? Was it Locker?
I tried PMing you and it gave me an error.

well done steelblood!
this is a great trade for the Steelers and I hope we strongly consider trading down on Draft Day if a player we are not absolutely in love with is there when it's our turn at #31....Comment

Originally posted by D RockThanks for the detailed post on Ponder there Ruthless.
I got my guy at the spot I had set up a trade already. That worked out beautifully.
Ponder is a great fit for the 49'ers and their new West Coast offense they will be implementing...you made a great choice.
and if you hadn't traded up, I can assure you that Ponder would have been long gone by the time the 49ers drafted at #45 in Round 2.Comment
