Isn't Polamalu the same way? I think Troy even spurns Gatorade in favor of water a la Bobby Boucher.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

He’s a free safety not a strong safety. The Steeler don’t need their free safety to be great at tackling. They need one who can cover and has ball skills. And Rahim Moore is every bit that.

I'll take what I saw with my own eyes. And I'd take the good ol' folks from NFL.com and what they have to say about Moore over NFLDraft Scout.com...

Moore is a true difference maker at the safety position, and he projects to be an immediate starter at the next level. He is extremely rangy with the deep speed to hold up in cover-3, and he has a great closing burst when the ball is in the air. His high cut frame gives him the look of a wide receiver and he has the playmaking abilities to be a ball hawk. He also has great instincts and always seems to be in the right position in coverage. Moore might be the top safety in the class and will likely go before the end of the first round.

And I stick to my evaluation....we will have to agree to disagree. I stand by my statemnet that Moore is NOT a first round talent.

NFLDraftScout.com is legit. USA Today has used their rankings for years. CBS Sports recently bought NFLDraftScout. Their projections have been pretty darn accurate over the years.

IIRC Quinton Carter was a player we talked quite a bit about before the last draft. Interesting that Denver took both of these FS prospects.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

I wounldnt pay his benching to much attention. Any rookie who can come in and start from day one is special and it is just a matter of time before he gets his starting spot back.

And this goes to what I said about him all along. His strength has always been his ability to cover. He is a center fielder type, ball hawk. Which is exactly what the Steelers could use from their FS.

But thanks SKL for proving my point about how he would have a chance at coming in right away and start.

Just because you are in the starting lineup doesn't mean you are starting material. His draft slot dictated him starting and his play obviously does not. Like I said 8 months ago the kid is OVERRATED.
