    Good for the OL

The OL drives me nuts. You never know what you are getting. When Pouncey went down I thought they would get shredded but Legursky was adequete. Jon Scott played very well and I saw Flo Adams throwing some guys around.

Big questions: Do we draft more OL? Is getting Colon and Starks back enough? Will these guys develop and just get better under Kugler?

I feel really great for Flo Adams. He has been a lifesaver this season and I hope that they let him get up on the stage in Dallas and get the Lombardi in front of Jerry Jones.

if someone would have told you at the beginning of the season that our OL in the AFCC game would be Jonathan Scott, Kemo, Legursky, Foster and Flozell would you have accused that person of smoking crack?

Who'd have thought but when the OL struggles we seem to go to the Super Bowl.

I would say yes unless a stud CB or NT drops at 32. I don't think there is a NT worth of taking at 32 in this draft.

I am not sure if Colon will come back from the injury. Infact i don't know if Colon or Starks will ever be able to recover completely from their respective injuries.

I don't want Steelers to sign Colon to a long term contract. Draft a Tackle early in the draft and make him learn behind Hotel for a season and then let the young gun take over that position in 2012.

A stud LT would be nice. I would keep Flo at RT for as long as he wanted to play. He's been outstanding.

Three undrafted free agents, a sixth round pick, and a 35 year old who was cut before the season. Kugler deserves the assistant head coach title. Lock him up. The year of the Kugs!
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

Jim Wexell recently stated that Willie Colon is recovering very nicely and that the Steelers expect him back next season.

I heard the same thing and also heard that Starks' injury is not like Marvel Smith's injury and he should have no issues coming back.

I would also draft a OT and let him play RG for a season and then step in at RT in 2012 after Flo Adams retires.

It will be interesting to see how the prioritization of picks goes down. I'd still take a CB first since I think we have the biggest problems in the secondary.

As long as you tell me that Ben Roethlisberger is the quarterback, I'd accuse you of nothing. If you told me that the Steelers were in the AFCCG with that line and Charlie Batch, Byron Leftwich or Dennis Dixon I'd accuse you of a lot more than smoking crack. :P

Ben is the only quarterback taking this Steeler team to the Super Bowl with that O-line or any other the Steelers have trotted out there this year.

stud LTs would always be nice, but they are very hard to find where the Steelers usually draft in the 1st round.

as for Flozell, I couldn't agree more. he absolutely dominated his man yesterday and has been outstanding all season long...a definite upgrade over Willie Colon.

Both tackles are coming back and we've got Flozell and Foster to boot. Tackle isn't the problem, it's guard...more specifically RG. Unless there is a CB we like at 32, we need to take the best guard on the board there.

if the Best Player Available is a CB or a RG, draft him.

Looking at the OL, probably the best option is to slide Colon into the less athletically demanding position of RG, allowing Starks & Adams to play the OT positions. Then draft a young OT to learn behind Adams for a year with a look to assuming the RT position once Adams retires, or if good enough, sliding over to LT and moving Starks back to RT. (Personally- no problem with Starks at LT).

Would not be against the possible drafting of Kemo's eventual successor...
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

At this point in the evaluation process, there appears to be a number of OTs graded as late 1st- early 2nd. Might finally be a draft to grab one at a good value.
