    SidSmythe's First Trip to Heinz

SIDSMYTHE is back in Western NY w/ a big smile on his face

What a stadium, what a crowd!!

My 10 yr. old wanted to stay with mom back at Splash Lagoon in Erie, Pa since he was having so much fun. Being the awesome dad that I am, I made him go to the game (with a threat of a whoopin', you can still do that in America right??). Once we got there he was happy to be there, i think it hit him when I bought him his very own Terrible Towel.

After getting robbed for food and buying a $40 blanket in case it got too cold, we headed up the rotunda. Couldn't find SN1 and the gang since I wasn't sure what sign was his. Bad plannin' on my part.

We ended up in Section 523 (17 rows up) ... great seats. I prefer the end zone up high. Great people around us. My son helped hold up the big american flag the people had sitting in front of us if anyone noticed.

My son learned the F word for the first time
We homeschool (you know, lock them in the basement and keep them from society in hopes they become paranoid serial killers??) so he doesn't have a bus to teach him these things.
My WIFE watched the WHOLE game back in Erie at the Sports Bar?? then at halftime ran back to the hotel room to watch on TV.

WHAT A GREAT GAME!!! except the 2nd Quarter and halftime!!!

The Ratbird fans looked like they were leaving a funeral ... they were so happy for a little while and their faces were beaming when they tied it up in the 4th quarter. They thought they were in control. Then BAM!!! Antonio Brown down the sideline!!! They went from to

Chanting Here We Go.... and Jets, Jets, Jets the whole way out

I NEED TO GO NEXT WEEK!!! I'm addicted!!!
Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go...

I don't know, he tried to explain it to me but I didn't understand!!

Another thing I noticed was that it was LOUDER than I ever dreamed. I remember the old Three Rivers Days when you had all the leftover 70s season ticket holders who were past their prime and about as rowdy as a kid who OD'd on Ritalin.

The energy was amazing ... I jumped around like this (but w Moobies)
Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go...

Moobies, we need to know nothing about, we will know nothing about. Still doesn't take anything away from that perfect father and son memory made. Way to go my hat is off to you!

But seriously everybody, say it loud
