The Texans are a better team than you think. They are not very deep but when healthy they can be dangerous. Just think of the Browns, when you stockpile Top ten picks every draft sooner or later you'll find some success. If the Texans ever get an O-Line they could be a solid playoff contender. Although I'm still not sold on Matt Schaub. Sage Rosenfields looked better than him last season.

By the way, I think Cincy wins on the road in Flacco's first NFL start. The Bengals may not have one of the better defenses in the league (to put it mildly), but it is still better than the defenses he faced as a Delaware Blue Hen at this time last year.
I'm usually more critical of my own team than others as well. Also we better beat the Ravens. With Ed Reed most likely not playing and a rookie QB starting, us losing to the Ravens would be pathetic...

Remember back in '02 when we dominated the Texans but ended up losing? If I remember correctly, this was one of Tommy's first games back from that scary injury against the Titans. I think he threw two pick-6s basically handing the Texans the game.

I looked up the game. Check out these two stats:

      Total yardage:
      Steelers 422
      Texans 47

      First Downs
      Steelers 24
      Texans 3

Oh, final score was 24-6. One of the worst non-playoff (or Super Bowl) losses I can remember.

Yeah, that was definitely one of the biggest "what the @#$% just happened?" moments I have ever experienced at a game. I'll never forget that one.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

          Steelers: 24
          Texans: 21

It'll be closer than we think, Ben will be running for dear life and Schaub can throw the deep ball, which gives us problems.

                Steelers - 31
                Texans - 14

                Parker - 100+ yards, 1TD no fumbles
Roethlisberger - 230+ yards, 2TDs, 0 INTs, 2 sacks, many hurries and pressures, the O-line displays why we're worried.

                Harrison - 7 tackles, 1 sack
                Woodley - 8 tackles, 1 sack
Smith and Hampton shut down what little running game the Texans have and Shaub runs for hislife most of the day.

Timmons - gets his first sack, playing on 3rd downs in passing situations

STs make us nuts and give up a big play

Leftwich gets some work in the 4th quarter

All in all a good day for the Steelers.

This one should be in hand sometime early in the 4th quarter allowing Tomlin to give Leftwich, Mendenhall and Swwed some work.

This one really should be an easy one...not much offense from the Texans, the defensive line will cause some problems, but, Ben will be Ben and Parker should have a decent day. He may have to carry it mroe often than we'd like to get his 100, but, he shoudl still get his 100.

Our defense should give Shaub fits and come up with a turnover or two and limit their running game to non-existent. It may be along year if the Steelers struggle in this one.

I know you are right, but I don't know if my heart can take it watching Mendy take a handoff, after his fumbles this month.

Kind of like watching whoever it was we had fielding punts the year before Rossum. Gulp!

Stop that Jom. Us steeler fans are really sensitive about that since Coke fumbled away that game to the bengals a couple of years ago.
