I told my son, that we'd get back in it and then we'd be let down w/ a late Raven score.
Just being honest.

BTW, what a FN defense we have.
Lebeau had them in the right positions all game.

As I mentioned in another thread...I had a strange calm come over me in the second half. I had gone out to the chickens to get eggs at halftime and just stared up at the
starry sky and felt like everything was going to be okay.

The whole second half I just kept saying "Keep the faith, keep the faith"...and it worked>

When the Steelers got the ball and went 3 and out, or didn't get much from their 1st drive in the 2nd half I did start to get a bit worried. I expected the offense to come out and look better than that.

thankfully the defense played on fire in the 3rd quarter to help our field position battle.

Well let's not fool ourselves here - this was more of a Ravens meltdown then a Steelers victory.....I don't care how the W comes - but when we missed the FG at the end of the half, things certainly didn't look like they were going our way.

I agree, but the rest of the story is that we had a meltdown also, but we overcame ours.

For some reason at halftime I told my wife "Don't worry, the offense will get us back in the game". I was confident going into the game but I never dreamed we would give up 21 1st half points.

Our offense is clicking and if they can stop the turnovers we might be able to stay with the cheaters in a shootout.

I agree, but the rest of the story is that we had a meltdown also, but we overcame ours.

Luckily for the Steelers (and Steeler fans) we don't have to see replays of Ben's fumble that everyone ignored and run back for a touchdown - for the rest of our football watching days.

Had the Ravens won this game that play would have been on a loop for a long time.

I'll agree that we were handing them the game in the first half but I think we played
so well on D in the second half that we get credit for shutting them down as opposed
to them melting down.

Yes I did. As I mentioned in chat, we played our worst half of football in 2010, took two huge haymakers from them, and were still only down by two possessions.

Nothing about the Rats offense scares me. Their defense, especially their front seven, can put you in the hospital.
