    Here's your 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers

    Like it or hate it, this is our roster for the coming season... Plenty of speculation is possible with some of the last cuts, but this is who we have ended-up with...

    QBs: (3) Ben Roethlisberger, Byron Leftwich, Dennis Dixon.

    RBs: (5) Willie Parker, Rashard Mendenhall, Mewelde Moore, Carey Davis and Gary Russell.

    WRs: (5) Santonio Holmes, Hines Ward, Nate Washington, Dallas Baker and Limas Sweed

    TEs: (2) Heath Miller, Matt Speath

    OL: (10) Marvel Smith, Chris Kemoeatu, Justin Hartwig, Kendall Simmons, Willie Colon, Darnell Stapleton, Trai Essex, Sean Mahan, Max Starks, Tony Hills.

    DL: (7) Aaron Smith, Casey Hampton, Brett Keisel, Travis Kirschke, Chris Hoke, Nick Eason, Orpheus Roye

    LB: (9) James Harrison, James Farrior, Larry Foote, LaMarr Woodley, Lawrence Timmons, Keyaron Fox, Andre Frazier, Donovan Woods and Bruce Davis

    CB: (5) Ike Taylor, Deshea Townsend, Bryant McFadden, William Gay, Anthony Madison

          I like the roster, but I would like to see Dre Moore brought in and Nick Eason dropped. The team had serious interest in Moore before the draft (they brought him in twice for visits) and I think that he would at least give the team a young guy to put with all the gray beards up front. I really wish Mundy would have been healthy b/c the team would have probably kept him over T Carter.

          Overall that is a deep team with not alot of questions. There are of course holes but no of us can name a team that doesn't have holes.

              Apparently Mahan has demanded a trade, not to mention the Starks issue.... (The Latest "Buzz" thread...) ...So maybe the roster will still change a bit. Who knows....

                  Nick Hayden was cut by the Panthers today too! I thought he would be a nice fit in the 3-4 as well. If nothing else I would like to see the Steelers put a couple of these guys on the PS. This team needs to look at all options in getting younger on the D Line.

                              Glad to see Anthony Madison make the club. He played great on ST during the preseason.

                                  Agreed with the sentiments above. We shouldn't have 3 greybeard DE's backing up our 2 greybeard DE starters. Cut Eason and/or Roye and pick up Moore and/or Hayden. You need to have at least one young developmental DE on your roster!
                                  Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

                                  Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

                                  We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

                                  We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

                                      someone said in another thread that we needed to watcht he Carolina DL cuts. I agree, they seem to have stockpiled some serious talent over there.

                                          Couldn't agree more on Hayden and couldn't agree less on Moore.

                                          With what Carolina has put together for a pass rush there, Hayden should warrant an inquiry from the Steelers, eh? The Steelers need young blood on the DL. Hayden could help.

                                          Moore was a mid-rounder and was cut from his first training camp. Work ethic was a big ? for him and it apparently cost him a chance to make an NFL roster. Sounds like he's a malcontent and that's not what the Steelers need at a position of need. I'd pass on Moore.

                                          If you bring in Hayden, you launch Eason. Eason needs to figure out what he wants to do with his life because he's not well-suited for football.
