Although I'm happy to hear that we are therefore supposed to win even without Troy (can the odds be used to say that?), I must admit I don't understand how those points came to be:
1) On NFLN today, they showed the last season or so of games, comparing with Troy to wtihout. The "won by"point differential was almost a full touchown when Troy was on the field - i.e., we won by almost a touchdown more when he played vs. when he didn't.
So, how does Vegas justify saying that Troy is only worth about 2 points for this game?
I guess the future of the free world doesn't depend on my understanding this, but still, I kind of like it when I have some tiny sense of what is going on ...
Vegas odds are set in order to induce equal wagering on both sides...even without Troy, more people want to bet on the Steelers especially with the way Mark Sanchez has been playing lately.
