Nothing, in all likelihood it's all true. The problem is that you don't air it in public on some stupid reality TV show; not to mention, he's been a Bengal for less than one season. If Carson Palmer or Chad Johnson, ooops, Ochosinco would have said it, there would be less to criticize as well, because they've been there for a long time, tenure counts when you're going to criticize an entire organization.

TO making this statement would be like Flozell Adams making a similarly disparaging remark about the Steeler organization. It wouldn't sit well with the fans or the team.

    Pappy
I gotta disagree. He's been quiet all season. He's also been performing and that earns a veteran the right to speak. By the numbers, this guy is one of the top WR's in NFL history. He's been with good teams and bad teams and he knows when a team has mailed it in. The guy came to Cincy to win and they don't have the mental toughness for it.

The Steelers have a locker room full of winners, so the Flozell thing isn't analagous, IMO. I think it's actually pretty cool that he's calling them out on it.

Like Tampa did with Keyshawn one year. Basically tell him his services are no longer needed AND he is no longer welcome at the Bengals facilities. Why not? If I was owner, I'd call a press conference and say - "T.O. wanted some top down leadership so he's no longer welcome to work for Cincy. Does that meet with your approval T.O? Actually I don't care!"

T.O. will find work again. He's still very talented. Pac Man kept finding work. A team will put up with the BS for the possibility of 75 - 100 catches.

If I was Palmer - I'd ask to be traded. Maybe he's done but sometimes there's nothing better than a change of scenary to change things around. Head to San Fran or Miami and see if there's a little magic left. Worst case you get the stench of Bengal of you.

Ochostinko and B.O. are like two peas in a pod - both are loud-talking, self-centered divas who, although talented, can't produce when it matters most.

Ocho, yes.... T.O. produces and had an awesome SB. The guy built a reputation and he will never live it down.

But the guy is still one of the best WR's in the game.

Unfortunately for Steeler fans, maybe this is the best thing that has ever happened to the Bengals.

Perhaps someone finally should call out the problems of the leadership of a poor "organization". Seriously, this team has had 2 good season (or so) since their 1981 and 1989 SB season. Might be time to clean house.

T.O. didn't say anything that wasn't true but, those are things not said to the public. I don't care if he and Chad played like Jerry Rice, I wouldn't want them on my team.

You know, T.O. may have had a chance to be a Jerry Rice or respectable player had he not caused so much crap throughout his career.

I for one thought the Bengals were going to be the real deal this season but once again, they found new ways smuck it up.

              It all starts with ownership.

              1. Have a classy enough organization through example = Rooneys

              2. Have enough sense to hire a good coach and leave them alone = Rooneys

              3. Insist upon character over substance = Rooneys

              4. You could win with a low character owner if he hires a good coach or a coach that cheats = we know this coach and owner

              5. Other ways to smuck things up are stupid owners that nerver learn, Bengals, Browns, Raiders, Lions, Cowboys for example.

              6. The Browns have made a better move with Mangini and or tears for fear their general manager. So it seems at the moment.

If I were him, I'd be a lot more ticked than he's letting off in public. The guy still has competitive drive and keeps himself in awesome condition to play. He works out in the off-season and doesn't take his talent for granted.

What does he do? He goes to a team that won their division the year before and is supposedly a playmaker away from going deep in the playoffs. He goes in and works and plays his butt off.

What do they do? Find ways to lose and practically mail it in by the halfway point of the season. He's been one of the only bright spots they've had this year and they should have been contending for the division even without him.

T.O. regrets remarks, Marvin has mixed reaction

Posted by Mike Florio on December 15, 2010, 8:10 PM EST

Tuesday night’s decision by Bengals receiver Terrell Owens to vent his frustrations about his latest one-year team created a stir. Though many expected T.O. to eventually blow his top, he did it in a way that provided him a plausible basis for claiming that he was taking aim not just at the owner and coaching staff, but that he was also blaming the players — possibly the 52 not named Terrell or Owens.

On Wednesday, Owens expressed regret for his first rant as a member of the Bengals, but hardly the first of his career. “I guess I shouldn’t have said it,” Owens said, according to the Associated Press. “It was something we were talking about on the show. It was brought up. I gave my comments and my opinions on it, and that was that.”

Coach Marvin Lewis addressed the situation as well, with both a show of support for T.O. and an admonition.

“Unfortunately for Terrell, he gets criticized a lot nationally,” Lewis said, omitting the reality that Terrell brings most of the criticism on himself. “We all — like he said — need to do better, and we all have a hand in winning football games. . . . We haven’t done well enough. None of us.”

But Lewis pointed out the connection between the things that come out of T.O.’s mouth and the contract offers that don’t arrive in his mailbox. “In this case, no one was willing to bring you aboard for a long time and then we ended up doing it late, so don’t hurt yourself in that situation as you go forward,” Lewis said. “There’s a lesson there and make sure. Unfortunately once we say something, we don’t get the chance to take it back. We try, but we don’t get to and it’s too late sometimes.”

One guy who gets it in this regard is the Robin to T.O.’s Batman. Asked to share his views on the role of the owner and the coaches in the team’s struggles, receiver Chad Ochocinco said, “I don’t even cross those boundaries, and you know that.” (He’s right. Ochocinco only chooses once every few years to embark on an all-out effort to get more money or to be traded.)

Two of their offensive teammates chimed in on T.O.’s comments from Tuesday night’s episode of The T.Ocho Show. Tackle Andrew Whitworth didn’t like it. Cedric Benson didn’t watch it.

“I think Scooby-Doo was on,” Benson said.

Hey, at least when you watch Scooby-Doo there’s a minimal chance that Shaggy will find a way to take his shirt off.

I guess Ced Benson was running around all wacked off of Scooby Snacks.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Frustrated With Losing: Ryan Clark Says Chad Ochocinco Almost In Tears Before Game Against Pittsburgh

by Josh Kirkendall on Dec 15, 2010

Pittsburgh Steelers' defensive back Ryan Clark joined 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh during their morning show on Wednesday to talk about Sunday's win over the Bengals among other things -- such as actually attending a Justin Beiber concert. One topic Clark was asked about was about Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, who spoke to Clark just before kickoff.

                      Ryan Clark said:

"Honestly, dude was almost in tears. He was like, 'Ryan, man, I just want to win. I want to know what it feels like to come into camp and know that I have a chance to win the Super Bowl. I want to know what it feels like to come out every week and feel like we're the team that’s supposed to score more points.' … That spoke volumes to me about the person and the public persona as opposed to what they really want to do. His words were, 'I would be a number three option if I could get to the playoffs and I have a chance to win the Super Bowl.'"

It's really hard not to believe this. Ochocinco, who has seen only TWO winning seasons in his ten-year career, might have a flair for the dramatic and theatrics, but he's always been a competitor.

What a week. First Owens orchestrates a blame game that goes from ownership, coaches and to the players. Then Carson Palmer says he could see himself in another uniform next season to Ochocinco in tears, talking to an opponent, before a rivalry game.
