The No Huddle Gets it Done.

When asked after the game, Ben didn't hesitate the difference on offense...the no-huddle. We need to have this as a large staple of our offense from here on out.

Less BA and more no huddle.

I agree, but some on this board have said that's not possible. I've asked why, but didn't get an answer.

Because running up the middle on first and second downs without a FB, against a stout divisional rival that have big ugly defensive players familiar with our run schemes, using a running back that prefers to dance rather than run north/south... is a very sound offensive game plan.

The playcalling 1st & Goal from the 2 with a 3rd string O line and no Heath or Spaeth --- it was so completely incompetent as to be unforgiveable.

I got a fever! And the only prescription is more No Huddle!!!

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I'm one who think the no huddle shouldn't be our base offense. The no huddle works because we use it sparingly and its a great change of pace. If we played like this all game every week it wouldn't work IMO....

I love the way it was used last night... the Ravens weren't expecting it and it worked. If they come into the game knowing it's our base offense I'm sure they would have packages in place beforehand.

And what happens in no huddle?

More wides, and less tight ends.

                    You're welcome.

It also takes less time off the playclock which could be bad for our D.

What got it done was the defence. The O was terrible for the most part. If not for an amazing play by Troy, and herculean efforts from Ben and Redman, we lose the game. Even with those plays, I doubt we win if Woodley doesn't give us another 10-15 after the fumble.

The O was bad with or without the huddle.

Yeah, but the way it's worked, we've had less 3-and-outs WITH the no-huddle, thereby taking MORE time off the clock.

We're better when we spread the field, and let Ben make the calls.
