    Romo - fractured left clavicle

I guess we won't be winning the Superbowl this year in Jerry World by beating them.

IIRC, I think these are 6 week injuries.

But that's in the "real world". I don't know if getting pounded on by 350 lb. is allowed.

tragic that this was my weekly pick in MNF executive. I'm torn between being pi$$ed at having to hope Kitna makes a game of it or the sheer joy of watching Romo in a sling and the faint hopes of cowboys fans being flushed down the toilet........

NFL Anounces new rules for Pass Rushers...

          New York: AP News Service

Due to the continuing injuries to the star Quarterbacks in the NFL...Ray Anderson has identified significant rule changes for next weeks games.

All blitzing Defenders must out loud count to 5 Mississippi prior to rushing the Quarterback. We feel this will enable the offensive lineman adequate time for protection as right now the defense has an unfair advantage being able to speed rush.

"The NFL has extreme concern for the current and future well being of our personell. By implementing these rules we will be able to stress the NFL's continuing goal to protect the health of our players."

Asked if this rule tipped the scales of balance to the offense, Mr. Anderson commented, "Not at all, We feel that this will provide safety, while at the same time continue to make the game a competitive and exciting product that it is today."

I know this might be lame, as I did it off the top of my head...just thinking how the Favre/Romo injury and the NFL's penchant for knee jerk reaction how this could be lampooned.

What's coincidental about this is an NFL defender actually said this last week...that they'd be counting Mississippi before long.

Who was that Bears QB in '85 again? ... I think he was such an NFL/Rozelle tweaker he would probably put a skirt on when he went to take a snap, just to mock the NFL's general suckitoode. That would be funny.

                    Lampooned?

Up until I read that part I thought you were serious.

That was the ever crazy Jim McMahon.

IIRC he wore a logoed headband under his helmet (Nike I believe) and was told that he could not wear it anymore because when the cameras saw him on the sidelines he was advertising a non-NFL endorsing company.

So then he got plain white headbands and wrote in marker on them. I don't remember what else he did, but one had "ROZELLE" printed on it.

When's the last time you saw a team lay down and just quit. I mean, Romo doesn't play defense. While I certainly enjoyed it as a life time cowboy hater; their fans have to be sick to their stomach. Kitna at QB, NO corners, terrible head coach and O-coordinator and a team that raised the white flag on national TV on Monday night.

I love it when Jerry Jones and his band of media darlings take a fall. I love that dallas gets to host a Super Bowl they will never be in.

It could only be better if we are in it and win it in Dallas at the Taj Ma-Jerry. Maybe the Rooney's will be gracious and let Jerry touch our 7th Lombardi.
