czar...how bout you go "do you" elsewhere and leave the football talk for the grown ups?
So YOU are questioning another's maturity by "talking tough" from behind the veil of anonymity to someone whom you do not know at all on an internet forum because they do not share the same opinion as you ? Really ?
once Timmons shows he is a beast on a defense without any of "Cowhers" players Czar will say Timmons is a beast because Tomlin drafted scrubs at every other position. Timmons is the MVP so far this season on a D with a ton of other stars.... that should say something.
I'm not surprised Czar doesn't see it though..
anyone who says he has to wait until the D is free of Cowhers picks is a freaking moron. This isn't college. Some guys play 8 to 10 years on our team. Troy will retire a Steeler. Basically Czar is saying he will never give Timmons props.. he could turn water to iwne and multiply fish and bread and Czar would give Cowher all the credit.
"Moron" ! Says the the dude whom just made a Demi God (Jesus Christ) reference while talking about Lawrence Timmons in any capacity. Again,....you indeed appear to be the expert concerning all that is "moronic" Dizz.
Like i said before,..you dudes (Timmons supporters) continue to 'do you'. As i will continue to do my thing. (Whether you like it or not.)
Once again you ignore the meat and prop up the joke in my comment.
it's called sarcasm. You continue to embrace ignorance and I have no idea why.
Maybe it's because you statement about crediting Timmons once Cowhers players are gone is the dumbest statement of 2010.
Let me ask you something Dizz. Do you think that i in real time give anymore of a damn about what you think of my opinion than i do of yours or Stlrz D's, and Oviedo's ? Any more than Timmons or any other player or coach does about anything written here ?
The answer is emphatically no. It's a public forum dude,....i'm not pressed about the net persona's of any of you cats.

Not hardly dude,...if you pay attention. (Let alone knew me in real life) I'm taking most of what most of you say (not all) with a grain of salt at best. And for the greatest part,.. enjoying the humor in these "conversations" of sorts. You are the ones getting bent out of shape. (You in particular)
There is no way we were getting Willis or Peterson.... Poz would look like a baby on our team. He looks good in Buffalo but they stink. Beason is good but he Ian nearly as effective since he switched to weak side. We missed on Revis but looking at his recent b1tch moves I think we got the better end of the deal in the long run.
A lot of these guys look good on D but most play on losing teams. Are these guys game changers? Revis definitely is but all the other defenders play on defenses that are a joke. Put them on our team and they aren't getting the same stats because we have better athletes in more positions and a better offense then every team mentioned.
as a reference, who would have been your pick there, Czar?
I can't speak for Czar, but here's what I would have done:
traded up 2 spots in Round 1 in order to select CB Darrelle Revis.
yes, I am good...
yeah, i said that at the time. to move up a spot like that, it easier for us to do then a team in the 20's to come in and do...would have cost us a lot less.

but, there definately was a need at LB too[/quotenudgk84]
LaMarr Woodley in Round 2 would have filled the need at LB...
the DL is the only unit with an "A" and Ziggy played a lot...
Steelers Report Card: Game Seven vs. New Orleans Saints
GERRY DULAC grades the Steelers' effort Sunday in their loss to New Orleans:
Monday, November 01, 2010
By Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
QUARTERBACK D
Ben Roethlisberger had only 93 yards passing through three quarters before completing three consecutive passes on a four-play scoring drive. He was under lots of pressure and had little time to throw in the first half, completing just 8 of 16 passes for 71 yards before halftime. After an interception gave him the ball at the Saints 36, he completed just 1 of 6 passes before Jeff Reed missed a 51-yard field goal.
RUNNING BACKS C
Rashard Mendenhall struggled for 3 1/2 quarters until he broke a 38-yard scoring run on the same play (22 Double) as his overtime touchdown in the season opener. He had just 28 yards on 11 carries in the first half. The Steelers had some success with first-down runs by Mewelde Moore (18 yards) and Isaac Redman (15), but little else, in the first half. Mendenhall finished with 71 yards on 15 carries.
WIDE RECEIVERS C-
The Saints were determined to take away the deep pass to WR Mike Wallace, and they did, holding him to two catches for 34 yards in the first half. Antwaan Randle El had a 12-yard TD overturned by replay when it was ruled he did not break the plane. Hines Ward and TE David Johnson had the big blocks on Mendenhall's TD run, but Heath Miller's fumble after a 25-yard gain ended any chance at victory.
OFFENSIVE LINE D
The Saints applied lots of pressure on Roethlisberger and were keying on stopping Mendenhall, keeping the offense from developing any sense of rhythm. The goal-line offense bogged down again because there was no push up front on three plays from the Saints 1 after Randle El's touchdown was overturned by replay. G Trai Essex missed a block on first down that started the goal-line failure.
DEFENSIVE LINE A
Even though the Steelers were playing without DEs Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel, the Saints rushed only six times for 15 yards in the first half. Chris Hoke made the big play at the goal line, dropping RB Chris Ivory for a 3-yard loss on second down that eventually forced the Saints to settle for a field goal. The Saints had only 26 yards on 13 carries through three quarters and finished with 32 yards on 18 carries.
LINEBACKERS B+
Defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau tried to confuse Drew Brees by lining his linebackers in different spots and dropping them into coverage. James Harrison had the lone sack in the first half and James Farrior had a pair of big third-down stops. Harrison and Lawrence Timmons, who was everywhere with 11 solo tackles, combined on a third-down stop at the 4 that forced a field goal.
DEFENSIVE BACKS D+
Bryant McFadden got beat for the only touchdown, but his sack and forced fumble at the Steelers 27 gave the offense a chance. CB Ike Taylor, a New Orleans native, celebrated his return home with an interception in the final minutes of the first half, but he blew the coverage on a 50-yard pass to Robert Meachem to the Steelers' 26. William Gay got beat on a 27-yard pass that set up the Saints' first field goal.
SPECIAL TEAMS C+
Jeff Reed kicked a 19-yard field goal, but missed a 51-yarder near the end of the first half -- his first miss on the road after nine conversions in a row this season. Emmanuel Sanders had another big return to give the offensive a lift, returning a punt 38 yards to set up the Steelers' first field goal. But he also fumbled after a 41-yard kick return in the third quarter, his second in as many games.
COACHING C-
The offense never got into any kind of rhythm, whether because of the crowd noise or the Saints pressure. And they didn't attack deep to Wallace, not even once. The defense didn't let the Saints get deep, except for one blown coverage, and the different looks from the linebackers resulted in big plays. But the Saints were 6 of 8 on third down in the second half, a big reason for the defeat.
the DL is the only unit with an "A" and Ziggy played a lot...
I feel you Hawaiian,...but uuuuh the author is Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post correct ? Somehow i think the fact that the Saints were without Bush and Thomas just didn't matter to him ?
as a reference, who would have been your pick there, Czar?
I was saying trade up for Willis at the time if we were indeed thinking linebacker. (Much the way we did with Troy) My board at the time was,...
1) Peterson
2) Willis
3) Revis
4 Jamal Anderson
5 Beason
6 Pozluszny
Yeah,...Anderson flaked. But i'm just keeping it real.
so who was left when it was out turn?
beason and poz?
didn't Poz go in the 2nd round that year at 34? and you would have picked him at 15??[/quote:3lolmjcz]
After failing to trade up to get Peterson or Willis,.. (Some thought AP might slip slightly because of injury concerns at the time) and missing out on Revis,.....i would have traded down and taken Anderson, Beason or Poz. And that's exactly what i said at the time NJ.
But i certainly would not have stayed at 15 overall and taken a project 4-3 cover two pursuit LB with but a single "solid" season as collegiate starter under his belt to play for a team that runs a 3-4.
But hey,... that's just me. But if Mike likes it,.. then apparently some will love it no matter what.
