oh snap, guess who I saw

I had to go to the burgh to put my grandfather to rest this weekend. I went to see my cousins play pee wee football and their dad says ever since they got little swann they have been a passing team. I'm thinking he just gave the kid a nickname but then Lynn Swann walks past. Every time I see him I'm amazed how small he is.

Then we go up to Rivers Casino to watch the college games and guess who walks in the sports bar? Charlie Batch and James Farrior. I walked right up to Charlie, give him dap and ask him if he is going to start and he says "I hope so" and I could tell he has been asked that way too many times.

I thought James Farrior had a retro road warroir haircut but then I remembered it was stitches. I now see why a lot of passes go just over his reach... He can't be anymore than 5'10" we were all tripping out over how small he was.

Ended the night with O fries.

I Potsie sign a Steelers Jacket for me about 7-8 years ago, and he was 6' 1", as we were eye to eye.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather, man.

Sounds like you had some interesting Steeler encounters, though. I met Swannie at Heinz early in our first season there (I'd post the picture again, but one of these yahoos would likely counter with the version where Asian's head was photoshopped on the Raven fan lady's body, and we don't need to go there).

And any night in Pittsburgh that ends with O fries is a good night (until you digestive system lashes back at you in the morning, of course).

And, now, after this thread title, I will forever picture Biz Markie when thinking of you.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
