    Farrior Just Got Manning'ed!

He was bleeding pretty bad from his head after getting his helmet knocked off. I hope he's okay.

These guys all wear helmets that go on and come off so easily I'm surprised it doesn't happen more.

I kinda have to agree with one of the guys. Even as a fan, I thought Harrison's hit of Orton was kind of cheap and intentional and, well unnecessary.

I don't get this. The only thing I thought was wrong with this play was the refs not calling this an incomplete pass right away. Other than that, it is still TACKLE football. I guess you have no problem Orton going low at Harrisons knees?

Same with the Farrior injury. For them to even think that was intentional is hilarious. There was nothing intentional about that. It's just football. Unfortunately Farrior's helmet popped off at an unfortunate time. They must play a softer brand of football in Denver.

Is it cheap and unnecessary when a RB dishes a shot to a DB before going out of bounds?

Seriously? Maybe you should start taking in flag football games instead.

Oh come on. Just because I don't think what Harrison did was necessary doesn't mean I don't think the same about other cheap hits. And, for what it's worth, I hate that a QB's answer to tackling a guy who just intercepted his pass is to try and take him out at the knee. That being said, the play happened at the sideline, Harrison was on his way out of bounds and saw Orton giving himself up by diving to the ground. He used that as incentive to go out of his way to deliver a blow IN A FRICKEN PRESEASON GAME! If someone did that to Ben, I would be pissed (althought I don't think Ben would go after a guys legs like that to make a tackle), so I'm trying to not be a hypocrit here.

Look, honestly, I laughed when it happened, because it was so obvious that Harrison went out of his way to deliver the blow, that it was kinda funny, in a perverse way. And I hate that QB's go after the legs when trying to tackle someone, yet you can whiff on a QB's legs by five yards and still seemingly get flagged for intent. Especially if his name is Manning or Brady. Personally, if Orton had done what he did, and Harrison pulled up and kicked him square in the head, I would have less of a problem with it. You put your head near a guys feet, and well, you get what's coming to you. But, dems just opinions, I guess.

Ball carriers deliver hits on would-be tacklers all the time...just because the ball carrier happened to be James Harrison and the would-be tackler happened to be Kyle Orton, I don't think it should be any different...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.
