    Now carry my signature rook.....

    A couple of thoughts crossed my mind today about "rookie" hazing in the NFL - and general NFL Camp stuff that takes place this time of year.

    I'm thinking that if there were Message Board Hazing - it would be that you have to carry a Vet's signature for at least the first month of your message boarding.

    My current favorite:



    My all-time favorite I can't find right now - but anytime I see it I can't concentrate on the topic at hand.


    My next thought is that I kind of wish there was an "easy" way to present our names on tape and put that in our signatures just for training camp - ala Hines Ward.



    I'm not suggesting we do any of this - it was just a thought that crossed my mind.

          If I were a rookie all over again - I'd gladly carry Jennifer Hawkings for you !

          Granted I really like a number of personal signatures that guys have (like Flippy) but there's one picture - that I couldn't find very easily - that just bends my mind away from football.....no matter how good the post.

                  Hmm, as far as sigs go, I'm going with Flippy. I'd carry his sig any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

                                          One more absurd message board to training camp idea - the "conditioning test" ala Albert Haynesworth.

                                          You'd need to write a 200 word post in 10 minutes - doesn't have to be too interesting or too deep - just show me that you've been thinking in the off-season.

                                              What's the message board equivalent of taping a rookie to the goalposts?

                                              Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

                                              We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

                                              We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
