    Former Steeler Morey retired

Serviceable player for us for quite a while. I enjoyed his special teams play.

    Sean Morey retires too

It's a morning for retirement around the NFL.

After David Patten hung up his spikes at Patriots camp, longtime special teamer Sean Morey told the Seahawks on Saturday that he's also retiring.

Mike Sando of ESPN notes that Morey has suffered numerous concussions during his career and has become a spokesman for concussion awareness.

Morey played nine years in the NFL for four different teams. He was part of Pittsburgh's 2006 Super Bowl team and helped the Cardinals reach the Super Bowl in 2008 with a memorable overtime blocked punt against the Cowboys to win a regular season game that year.

They had him on one of those Ultimate Upgrade (or whatever it's called where they show how awesome his house is) shows on HGTV and he had his Steeler uniform framed in a glass case. was pretty cool

I liked Morey. Glad he got to extend his career a few years after he left.
