    Timmons "working like a dog"

This is going to be his year! He'll be a three down LB stud. He is the key to our 3rd down defense as far as covering the Ray Rices and Brian Leonards of the division out of the backfield.

Steelers LB Lawrence Timmons writes in his blog that he has been working out twice a day and as a result is in serious shape. “I did a lot of great things in the off-season. It hasn’t all been fun, though. I’ve been working out hard. I’m up to 248 pounds right now, no fat. I’ve got my abs back” writes Timmons. “Now it’s time to get ready for training camp on Friday. I’ve been working out like a dog so camp will be easy for me and I’m in some serious shape. I’ve been working out hard, doing two-a-days, working out then running or lifting. My trainers have me on some supplements now and I’m improving my wind, speed and strength so everything is going well.”

How bad was his wind before the supplements?

'Farty' Timmons is coming to get you!
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

      Light up the darkness.

Hopefully his trainers checked those supplements against the banned substance list!

our defense needs to step it up big time this season, especially those first 4 games without Ben. i'm hoping Timmons has a monster year and finally comes into his own...

Great to hear! Excited about watching him become our next great linebacker!!!

Though I've always wondered about the phrase "working like a dog". I've had 4 dogs in my entire life and they were all lazy piles of crap. All they did was eat, sleep and dump.

I think we need to change this. Why don't we start it here and see if it spreads. I propose, "working like an armpit!" But I'd be willing to listen to anyone else's suggestions.

Good point. Still, I'd guess that 99.9% of dogs in this world are pampered pets.

The other .1% would include sled dogs, bomb & drug sniffers, Vick's dogs and any dog unfortunate enough to be in North Korea.
