    Colbert Extended

    Per Schefter's Twitter:

Good move: Steelers announced that Director of Football Operations Kevin Colbert has signed a five-year contract extension with the team.

Nice move. Colbert has been so good in the 1st round. Now, let's start hitting in rounds 3-4-5 on a more consistent basis.

Nice! Well deserved. The Tomlin and Colbert extensions are undoubtedly the silver lining on this dark cloud of an off-season (I'm so glad that it is coming to an end in 2 days when players officially report to Latrobe!).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

What will Starkey have to say about this?

Don't the Rooney's know that they can make a better hire for this job if they just get one of the "experts" on personnel and talent assessment from this board

I love it!!!! Tomlin and Colbert both extended and the "haters" heading to the bridges to take a leap.

Promoting Omar Khan and keeping him happy is also great news. He's done a fantastic job as the Steelers chief contract negotiator and doens't get enough credit.

They promoted Khan too? Hadn't heard that part. That's great news as well! I remember another team talking to him during the offseason, so I was worried he might be hired away from us.
