    Recent words from Troy

Troy sounds like he's ready to meet the challenge.

Oh Noes! Another player talking about Ben! I'm surprised 15 guys haven't surfaced telling Troy to shut his cake smasher after airing his rather benign opinion about the Ben situation. Oh wait...I forgot...those people don't already hate Troy like they hate Hines or Jerome, so there is no need to twist his words around to make them sound like he actually said something controversial.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Troy says things in the Zen sort of way only Troy can

The undercurrent of animosity between Ben and Hines is well known so of course folks are going to jump on that. There has been a subtle tug of war between Ben and Hines for the past couple of season over whose team it is which is natural with a young player in the ascendency of his career and an older player in the twilight of his.

I think people criticized Bettis because he is now viewed as an outsider and probably for professional reasons took the opportunity to take what some perceived as "shots" at the organization when he first got in front of the mikes as a commentator.

All in all I think people are just over hearing anything about Ben and Georgia. It is what it is. Can't change it so quit talking about it. A few "no comments" can go a long way.
