Here to stay... although the current state of entropy at what remains of SteelersFever is positively mesmerizing. I'm openly lobbying for some doctoral student in anthropology to do his/her dissertation on the form the release is taking over there right now. Preacher and steelreserve alone would fill several hundred pages.

I saw someone here made a thread about Billy's Black and Gold ... If you can't be at Heinz, that's the place to be ...

I know exactly where that's at! I grew up in Mercer.

I'll be sticking around here, too. I don't know what's going to happen at ST. I felt so at home there. The guys never made us ladies feel unwelcome and and treated us like "one of the guys". The SF gang educated me, entertained me (sometimes with tears running down my face from laughing so hard) and occasionally "schooled" me when I needed it. I'll be checking out HTG's new site as soon as it gets up and running and probably cruise back and forth between here and there.

This place has a nice feel to it. Change can be good.
Mercer, eh? After a lot of Steeler games, my Dad and I like to stop for a bite to eat at Rachel's Roadhouse on our way home. I don't think we've ever had a bad meal there. In fact, just thinking about it is making me hungry for their homemade chips, or a basket or pretzels.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I was more of a lurker at SF, but after watching those guys over there for a couple years, I am also following them over here. Heck, I may even speak up every so often to make a fool of myself.

        Thanks for the warm welcome.

The Iron Bridge is really good, too. It's just north of Rachels on 19.

Back in the olds days we used to call that business b.s. "bootleg" meaning garbage.

Then that moron must have believed in a pyramid scheme because he could pump the revenue and then flip the business up the ladder. Almost like a time-share, a notoriously poor investment.

Thanks. I think most of us will stay. The 2 mods over there are opening a new MB that we will frequent as well. But i'm happy here. Far as i'm concerned i found a new home. I'll make room for both places.

I also like twitter for some odd reason. lol

We haven't tried the Iron Bridge Inn or the Springfield Grille yet, but I know that they are both owned by the same folks who own Rachel's, so they must be good. They just appear to be a bit more upscale, and we only ever come through there after games when we are wearing jerseys and the like, so we just got comfortable with the atmosphere at Rachel's. We even stopped there once on our drive to Detroit for SBXL, and again on the way back too.

Love the coakaroaches reference. I think i'm gonna try to hit 1,000 posts then split the scene. I started a thread for PlanetSteelers there. lol
