Let The Rumors Revive

that the Steelers will make a deal with the Cowboys, packaging Watt in a swap for Dak Prescott (I hope not)

Brother are you starting this or is there a source? Prescott makes about 60M$ per. If we could trade Watt for Prescott and pay.the same then I could see this happening and I would like it. ************ I would say under the present salary structures this ain't happening.

Nah, it's just some off the cuff chatter, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lSRwq4hwDE

I thought I'd go down this rumor path. I just thought of a possible trade situation. I just read a guy saying that CJ Stroudt has lost millions of dollars due to his last two performances. He probably won't be reupped. *****************************************_* My question is, is Stroudt washing out or is he redeemable as an NFL QB. He was on fire in year 1. Could Mike McCarthy ressurect him and get him on tract. Perhaps we could send Watt to Houston and we get Stroudt. I just put this out there. I don't know what happened to Stroudt.

Unless we're talking Joe Burrow, I don't really want to do anything crazy with any overpriced QBs. Lots of them make $45-60M a year now and only a few are truly franchise QBs. Let's build the team in other areas this year, get younger and cheaper on defense, and load up for drafting a QB in the first in 2027 or 2028, as the prospects align. Give will Howard and/or another 3-5 round QB a shot this year at unseating Rudolph, go 6-11, then draft a QB accordingly. If Howard or the rookie QB lead us to a winning record, maybe we've got something.

I haven't heard that rumor before. I like it though. It might be a good idea.

I think Stoudt was playing injured, and I think he needs the right kind of system/OC in place. That said, he's got the tools to be an effective QB. I don't know, if the price isn't too high, I'd be tempted to take a flyer on him. Rather pick up Willis, though, if he's not crazy expensive.

I meant Stroud, not Stoudt. Don't think Cliff Stoudt was ever the answer at QB, and he's certainly not now that he's in his 70's.
