Per the definition, I would suggest pretty much everything in the original post, except" the word "Tomlin" fits that definition perfectly. I think "classless" is much more despriptive of it's author than it's subject. RAZZ EMOJIsigpic

After stepping down, Tomlin released the following statement: "After much thought and reflection, I have decided to step down as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. This organization has been a huge part of my life for many years, and it has been an absolute honor to lead this team. I am deeply grateful to Art Rooney II and the late Ambassador Rooney for their trust and support. I am also thankful to the players who gave everything they had every day, and to the coaches and staff whose commitment and dedication made this journey so meaningful. I want to also thank Steelers Nation. Your passion, loyalty, and high expectations represent what makes this franchise truly special. Coaching in Pittsburgh is unlike anywhere else, and I will always take great pride in having been a steward of this team. While this chapter comes to a close, my respect and love for the Pittsburgh Steelers will never change. I am excited for what the future holds for this organization, and I will forever be grateful for my time coaching in Pittsburgh." Look, I've been plenty critical of Tomlin's coaching for many years, but I don't see why he would need to give a retirement speech on top of this. He thanked the organization and the fans. Let it go. The team is moving on, let's do that as well.Comment

i totally agreed with the above statement. it amazes me how tomlin can fool so many fans into thinking .500 is good enough. How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

yup, look at me being right and you being wrong. it must kill you that…. lolHow is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

Whatever, I've always appreciated your opinions. In my opinion Tomlin is arrogant and racist. Imagine blowing a kiss to the camera because you defeated a horrible Ravens team, like he won the Superbowl. What an arrogant tool. MT didn't win **** with his own players. Tomlin was a DEI hire that ownership was afraid to get rid of because of the potential backlash. In reality he was an unqualified shoeshine boy.

totally agree. the ones that were proclaiming his greatness did so out of racism. it was always the white players that were the problem. always the white assistants. they cried when a white player got paid but wanted the black players to get huge contracts. How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

Really whatever? I was 100 percent behind extending Watt. One guy on this forum was against giving TJ a raise. He said it was because he was on the downside. Frankly, it looks like he was right as now that is the consensus after the fact. It was a legit FOOTBALL opinion. Unlike you guys he makes no "race" based criticism of Watt, just football. Ya'll talk race all the time, use tropes routinely, then deny your hatred of Tomlin is about race. There ABSOLUTELY WERE FOOTBALL reasons to be critical of Tomlin. But you aren't fooling anyone.sigpic

Prowler, I genuinely don't get you. You are clearly obsessed with Tomlin on racial basis, yet you act like my friend. You started a thread complaining about being called racist for not liking Tomlin. Nobody thinks you are racist for not liking Tomlin. But when the criticisms are literally related to racial issues? Come on man, what do you expect? Tomlin was an unqualified dei hire over an OFFENSIVE LINE COACH? He HAD A MUCH BETTER Vikings defense than Shula has right now. Yet Shula (who I already said I like) is qualified but not Tomlin? Here is where it get personal my brother. I GET THAT SAME TREATMENT BY YOUR ILK for stuff I EARNED. I really think the only difference in your eyes is we talked personally. BTW, not a fan of the blown kiss. Win the SB do what you like. But lose the next week? Embarrassing.sigpic

whatever you were pleural. ONE GUY had a beef with Watt getting extended. THAT GUY had already sourced on Tomlin ever since he gave up on Pickett (you know the WHITE QB he was the biggest fan of on this forum). Therefore by the time he had an opinion about extending Watt, he ALSO wanted to move from Tomlin.sigpic
