DCC, I agree 100 percent with your take here. McCarthy means we are going after Rodgers to win NOW not long term. Heck qith his Steelers AND McCarthy historry, bring back Dom Capers as DC so we can fully go Back to The Future.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Art II wants to talk to Shula , face to face and his sidekick for OC. I don't think Rodgers and MaCarthy are best buds per Dizz. If we were sure about Flores we wouldn't need to wait. I think Shula and Shool....?, Shulas running mate are the target. The Chief hired ex coaches as coaches but that was before Noll. McCarthy is a Pittsburgh homey and perhaps he could be a coordinator.

It will be Chris Shula more than likely with Nathan Scheelhaase a close runner up. They will get the in person interviews the weeks leading up to the Superbowl. If Rams are eliminated, I would expect the hiring to take place before. If Rams are in the Superbowl it will happen after. If Scheelhaase blows them away during the in person interview he may become the favorite but I'm leaning towards the "defensive" side right now. I'm in favor of Scheelhaase...I want offensive. They will be getting their franchise QB here over next two years. You get an offensive HC...They are together for over a decade. You go defensive, more than likely that QB will go through several OC's as they get HC opportunities. That's just my thought process. Perfect scenario...Chris Shula HC and he brings Nathan Scheelhaase as OC. Probably only get 2-3 years before he gets HC opportunity but maybe maybe a branch would be in place to continue the QB's growth.

Bleacher Report predicting it will be Shula with him bringing Scheelhaase (currently the Rams passing coordinator) with him to be the Offensive Coordinator.

I remember the last time we changed HCs, when the rags were reporting Russ Grimm would be next up

Still think Weaver as HC with McCarthy as OC makes sense.
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?
